on G. Gordon Liddy's radio show this am. It goes somewhat like this!

Once upon a time Toyota and General Motors decided to have a promotional Canoe race up the Mississippi River . Each company manned their canoes with 8 personnel. Both teams worked very hard to create, train and ready their canoes and teams to compete in the heavily anticipated event. When the day finally came to race, Toyota won the race by a mile!

A study was performed to look into why Toyota's team had been so much more effiencient and waxed the GM crew. They started with some basic numbers. Toyota had chosen to use 6 rowers, 1 rudder man and a Supervisor to ensure quality. GM on the other hand had 2 rowers, 1 positioned on each side of the canoe, and 6 supervisors.

It was agreed that the race would be run again the following year and so GM went to work attempting to better their possibility of running a better race. Toyota merely continued to do the same thing and practiced again and again and again, over and over. GM elected to increase their rower total to 3, promoted two of the supervisors to superintendant and gave them incentive bonuses so as to ensure better production in the upcoming event. This time, they lost by two miles!

Perplexed by the outcome, GM hired a professional consultant firm to anaylize the results, paid them millions, increased the salaries of the rowers, cut the rower total back to two, fired two of the supervisors, but gave them huge severance packages, then gave bonuses to the superintendants. Additionally, they sent their canoes to Japan to have them reconstructed so as to increase their water speed and paid the company millions to do so!

Critics and US Government became so enraged by the continual lack of success that they began to insist that GM lay off it's rowing crew and invest more millions in a sophisicated solar panel to power the new and improved canoe. This of course would result in more expenditure so the Government agreed to use taxpayer money to finance the whole gig and pay the bonuses of the ceo, AND UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT, for having having agreed to such a fantastic new idea, thought up by Government of course, the effort led by some faggot on capitol Hill who of course had just proven his leadership ability in Bail Out's by funding the Broke Dick Housing Industry which had just experienced some disappointing setbacks as well.

The new model GM Canoe came out with a sleek new curvy space age design, equipped with a huge bulky, ineffiecient solar power panel, two small electric motors, and manned by eight superintendants who could now afford to drive their 48 ft. Power Yachts to the competition's location. Of course, GM was beaten by ten miles, so they fired all the sup's, and the CEO and used the last of the taxpayer's bailout money to pay their severance packages, leaving the taxpayers to fit the bill!

However..............GM did manage to sell the oars, which were not necessary any longer, on E-Bay for 25.00 each. This resulted in a savings to the taxpayer of 75.00 less the ad charge!
