Late in the 1990s, two young federal prosecutors in Chicago prepared a two-page memo that outlined allegations of corruption in the office of George Ryan, then the Illinois secretary of state. The prosecutors had evidence that unqualified truckers were bribing Ryan's employees to obtain driver's licenses. Just as bad, somebody on Ryan's staff had thwarted an internal investigation of these dangerous criminal acts.

It's a circle jerk, nothing more. I left elected politics after 21 years because of corruption that I saw there and to be honest I was intimidated to some point that I would somehow get caught up in the mess and I wanted no part of it. This was certainly not a partisan decision on my part as I witnessed some really sleazy shit coming from every side imaginable in about equal measure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That said, I also plead guilty of some of the tit for tat bullshit being promoted on this particular site. There are sites that would ban a poster for such activities and particularly so if there is little or no content relating to the credible conversation concerning the opening post.
