Shopping’s done, stocking’s full

Lights are up and the tree looks cool

Gifts all wrapped waiting to be ripped

Food not quite done yet but there’s wine…I’ll take a sip

Coffee will brew after the wine and martini’s been consumed

Egg nog, maybe but hot chocolate milk for sure

For sure no to Turkey, but ham and steak maybe

But at my house there will be more, table full of plenty

I know Xmas songs will be playing I’ll be sad if they end

‘What a wonderful Life’ showing on TV all over and over again

Fireplace might work, got a good scare this time last year

I’ll try yet again, who knows I might make it safer…oh dear

The siblings will fly from 3,000 miles away

First time in a long time I am glad they will stay

I’ll share what I have, give what I can

No stopping they’re all here now, I’ll behave as much as I can

My kids Xmas stockings labeled “I am nice this year”

Who are they really foolingJ I was with them all year

My boy Gabe still believes in Santa and so I thought, and it’s cute

But my 18 year old Carlo, it will be scary if till now believes Rudolph’s true.

Gain some lose some the life’s story this year

Met an old friend haven’t seen in 20 years

I enjoyed the company of friends new and old

Good they share the same sentiment, at least that’s what I’ve been told

Gwapo’s far away now, seldom I see him

But added two bunnies, named Thumper and Damien

The house will be full of life with all the people that will stay

I wish it’s true with all of you, make it fun this Xmas day

But let’s not forget why we celebrate this day

There’s a manger in front of the altar, a baby will lay

The baby is born – Bringing us peace, hope, and LOVE.

I wish you and your family all of God’s blessing for all years to come.
