This is a cool little flash I saw today. It's about 10 minutes long, but is a very simple explanation of liberty, in philosophical terms. Highly recommended! And internationally recognizable pictures!!!

Very cool, and to the point. However not enough to make me give over 10 or more minutes. I gave nearly 4+

Wtf does any kapo here care about liberty ? Here's an 'internationally recognised picture' for you.

You want to bathe in the light of the rights of man, won by the hard work of dedicated thinkers, as if it somehow expunges you from responsibility for the horrors created by the fascist regimes you support ?

So tell me, what is your angle on 'liberty' ? What's in it for you ? Is it the same as your angle on 'democracy' ? A concept not really intended for the masses ?

What's in it for me is liberty. What's in it for you is... liberty. What's in it for every American, every Palestinian, every Israeli, Arab, African, European - everybody, is liberty.

Are you on the right site ? This one specializes in cheerleading bigotry, ignorance, genocide and its little brother, murder.

Yes, I agree with your post. Try convincing the New Klan.

I've been on this site since its inception, and its predecessor site almost since inception. Just because you are in the minority on the Palestinian issue doesn't make the rest of the board "the New Klan."

No, it's their anti-Islamism which makes them the New Klan, that and their xenophobia and fascist inclinations. You ought to stand back and take a look.

OK, so it's clearly written by a Zionist who has believed his own propaganda. The numbskull tries to compare conditions in 'Israel' with the London blitz. Can you imagine a London blitz headline screamimg ' Londoner in mattress factory slightly shaken by V1 rocket' ? Anything else from the elephant's ass ?

You do know that if religion were to suddenly go away there would be no argument between the people!

And if God were to suddenly appear, there would also be no argument about religion.

There would still be some important cultural differences. Some people just don't like each other. How do you explain that there are some religions that can get along with each other?

And if God were to suddenly appear, there would also be no argument about religion. That would depend on who's god appeared! I mean if Jehova came then most christians would be lost as well as Islamists. I the god of Judaism came then all people would have problems except jews. So you see the problem with A god appearing? Too many gods only one earth.

That a christian can get along with a protestant is no new news. Get a jew to get along with a hindo is not hard. Try to get a seventh day adventist to get along with a jew, not gonna happen. Same for a person who takes the koran seriously getting along with any other religion.

???????? I've got to say that I am really gaining a new prospective about liberty from reading this thread about religion! Funny how that works!

They would quickly find something else to kill each other over.
