i am actually surprised obama's administration said it outright...i can't even imagine if they said black males. it is pretty pathetic that more news outlet's aren't covering this....

well, if they keep this up, then i can only surmise that obama will indeed be a one termer and go down in history as the biggest fraud to ever be elected.

on another note, what was that guy doing at a hearing when bush is still in office?

Again, is anyone really surprised? People like Stephanie were predicting all of this for several months prior to the election. The far left/Socialists are feeling very empowered now, and all sorts of outlandish redistributions will be proposed. With a Dem Congress and Dem White House, they could very well pass.

Well at least there will be plenty of job security as the projects get done over and over and over again by unskilled, unprofessional, non-white males working for prevailing wage.

It's political pandering to minority masses. What scares me is how, over and over again, I hear this line about infrastructure spending stimulating the economy. It doesn't. It's like soaking blood from your heart and injecting it into your thumb. To pay for construction work, they have to take the money from somebody else, somebody who could be using it to stimulate the economy. It's just that that guy might be white and/or rich, so they won't do that. If congress would just step back and let the market work, we'd pull out of this thing in no time. There's a reason over 90% of all gains on the DJIA, in its entire history, have occurred when congress was NOT in session and why the growth rate of the S&P shoots up about tenfold every time the speaker bangs the gavel and sends everybody home.

In common language if the words were changed to black from white that they stated preference for would the comments of both persons be considered racists?

Are both persons conspiring to circumvent the 10th Amendment;
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people in violation of their oath of office?

They both should be impeached!

By that standard, I'd say over 90% of ALL politicians should be impeached, but since they have to impeach themselves, it would pretty much take an armed uprising to do that.

In strictest point, our government actually allows for that?

People don't even. by and large, know what infrastructure spending really is, they just hear it and go, "well, better infrastructure is always good", and blithely sidestep the part where the important questions get asked, and the media only makes the problem worse, because they don't ask the questions either, they just jump onto one side, or the other of the issue, without ever trying to get to the deeper parts of it.

It's the same thing with this bailout, there's been no accountability, they just handed all this money out, with no requirements on the companies that received it.

It's reminiscent of TVA, with a racist twist.
