If this bill passes, Pres Obama gets $4.19 billion deposited into his re-election account

And how the hell will this help the US economy?

Republicans Object to Stimulus Dollars for ACORN

Republicans say voter registration and community groups like ACORN could be eligible for funding under the Democrats' economic stimulus bill.

Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that ACORN, the low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud, could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House.

House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities."

He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.

Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as "payoff" for groups' political activities in the last election. ACORN generally supports Democratic candidates and actively backed President Obama last year.

But he said the funding is just one example of frivolous spending items in the $825 billion package.

"It's just a long list of spending items. Not a real economic stimulus job creation bill," Vitter said. "It's line after line after line of favorite liberal spending programs, and it amounts to a big government bill -- not a job creation bill."

Last I checked, only 10 Republcians in the House were going to vote for this BS

The economy's has serious isses and this bill wants to increase taxpayer money to fund Democrat voter registration.

Shows them for what they are: power gluttons.

the republicans then need to strongly get the word out. the dems are very successful at propaganda, and it has worked strongly in their favor. the republicans need to hold interviews and explain this to the american people. even the left wing media is going to have a hard time hiding a press conference of numerous republicans who bravely state what crap is in the stimulus.

the only thing i see holding them back is....they probably have their own pork/agenda in the so-called stimulus

This is why libs want to silence people like Rush and Sean. They do not want BS like this to be made public

then the senators and congressmen need to get their asses out there and make it public. the media is going to have a near impossible time ignoring a group of republicans holding a press conference. fox, the least biased media, will show up and get the scoop if they don't. the dems are good at this press conference thing and it is more persuasive than sean or rush

As I said, House Republicnas are doing their job and getting out there

The Senate may be a different story. Dems need only 2 Republicans to cross over for 60 votes to stop debate

With RINO's like Snow, McCain, and Spector they probably will get the 2 votes
