There's so much wrong in this whole story, it's hard to know where to begin.

Maybe just look at a few statements from the article.

"Nadya Suleman's publicist Mike Furtney said that his client has been away for nearly two months, so shouldn't be held responsible for the home's current condition."

Let's see. She voluntarily had these new kids, right? In fact, she deliberately had them inplanted, to make SURE she had a LOT of them, right? She knew that having more kids would take her away, right? Long before she conceived the new ones, she knew that. And, she made no other arrangements for their care, other than dumping them on her own mom.

How, exactly, is she "not responsible" for the condition they're in? Whose kids are they??

Maybe if she's spent money on a live-in nurse for a few months, rather than on a "publicist", her kids would be living in better conditions.

"....Nadya wanted to have children on her own."

Well, that can certainly be arranged. Nadya has already taken care of the boyfriend by refusing to marry him. Now, to truly have her kids (all 14 of them) "on her own", when does she plan to move out of Mom's house? More importantly, how exactly does she plan on paying for the new, and necessarily very large, house she will move into? And how does she plan to pay for all the food, diapers, clothes, cribs, beds, etc. that FOURTEEN kids need? If she's "having them on her own", that means no one else helps, right?

Sounds to me like the LAST thing dear Nadya wants, is to "have children on her own". She wants to force everyone around her to pitch in and take care of them, and blithely go off to a hospital to produce more (who paid the hospital bills, BTW?) while her family works themselves to exhaustion taking care of the ones she already has. While all along not even taking on the responsiblity of marrying the man(?) who fathered them.

If there was ever a professional victim, this person is it. Sorry I can't call her a "woman", because that implies maturity. And if there were ever genuine, innocent victims... well, she has produce fourteen of those so far. Maybe fifteen if you include her mother, who seems to feel that family ties are important enough that she must submit to the stunning abuse her daughter has foisted on her.

End of rant.

Octuplets' Grandmother Calls Daughter's Actions 'Unconscionable'

LOS ANGELES — The mother of the woman who used a fertility doctor to give birth to octuplets, despite already having six young children, called her daughter's actions "unconscionable" in an interview posted online Sunday.

Angela Suleman has been caring for the six older children while her daughter was hospitalized after giving birth Jan. 26 to the octuplets.

"She already has six beautiful children, why would she do this?" Angela Suleman said in the videotaped interview with celebrity news Web site RadarOnline.com. "I'm struggling to look after her six. We had to put in bunk beds, feed them in shifts and there's children's clothing piled all over the house."

The Web site posted photographs from inside Angela Suleman's disheveled three-bedroom home, where Nadya and her brood also live. Heaps of clothing pour from an open closet door and a carpeted bedroom, where a bedsheet serves as a curtain, is cluttered with cribs.

Nadya Suleman's publicist Mike Furtney said that his client has been away for nearly two months, so shouldn't be held responsible for the home's current condition.

Furtney said his client planned to move into a larger home once the octuplets were healthy enough to leave doctors' care.

He declined to comment on any of the remarks Angela Suleman made about her daughter in the interview.

"Those are very personal issues between a mother and a daughter," he said.

Angela Suleman said Nadya's boyfriend was the biological father of all 14 children, but that she refused to marry him.

"He was in love with her and wanted to marry her," she said. "But Nadya wanted to have children on her own."

She's like those people who have a hundred cats and dogs in a small house, even though they can't begin to take care of them. She's a kid-collector.

I find it very irresponsible of her. There aren't enough hours in the day for her to have the time to foster and nuture the needs of each and every child. They will go without the mothering they need because she is going to have to get out and work at some point. And dumping it all on her mother to take care of the children was an unloving and unkind thing to do.

From where I stand, if one is going to have that many babies, then one should be able to support them all and have the time to spend with them as well. Giving birth to that many children as tho' she were a cat having a litter is a very selfish act. Let alone ignorant!
