I added a picture I tossed together and placed it just below the navigation bar. Too bulky? Not good for the site? You like? 86 it?

I like it, the more the better, fill it up all of the way across the page.

I like the picture but it just seems out of place right there.

On the bottom seems like a better place for it, but then I doubt anyone would notice it. But, given the choice of leaving it there or 86'ing it, I would leave it there.

I agree with Immy. Seems out of place. Can you move the Paypal button out of the way and move the pics up? I think it would look better if the pics were right underneath the ads there.

The reason I don't like where it is, is because nothing changes on my screen after it finishes loading. So, I find myself waiting longer to scroll down to get to the meat of the page. I keep waiting for something to change and then realize that on my screen nothing will change. I'm sure I will get used to it, but that is the main detraction I feel at the moment.

Honoring our troops past and present is always OK with me.

As far as the banner I'd keep it about troops if that's the intent and get rid of the 911 stuff.

The poll at the top of the board is complete and the final was 20-2 in favor of keeping the banner/image.

I know mostly everyone respects our troops and have no issue with displaying them, the Flag or any other tributes to the soldiers.

The idea wasn't to add something else to "recognize" the board and what we discuss here, but I wanted a special section to honor our troops specifically, past and present. This is why there isn't anything about "politics" or America in general there. This wasn't and shouldn't be about politics - just honoring those who have served our country.

I'm still open minded to changes, but appears the majority like it as is.

flag draped coffins, doncha know us general publics aren't supposed to see them. Hurts moral and all that.
