Couple vids here -

My wife tried out the 12ga for the first time - this vid shows the result of a .22, then a .40, followed by the 12. :)

Next is her first few shots with the xd, for familiarization.

Then she tried a few rounds w/ the .22 my daughter had been using.

My kids fired thru about 100 rounds of .22, I went thru about the same of 40.

REALLY felt good - was a great family event! We ALL need practice, though! :)

Cost - $7? for 100 rounds of .22, $25 for 100 rounds of .40, and $6 for 3 watermelons.

Darin..... where are you getting watermelons for 2 bucks?

Suggestion: Have Mary practice in different positions. (Different feet forward, side by side, etc,.. Also kneeling, on knees and laying down) Obviosly the reason for this is versatility. Of course practicing is good and one can never practice too much in my opinion. Getting her used to different stances and positions will better ready her for that one time when one shot may count and the choice of position will not be available.

Not bad shooting though actually. Keep practicing Mary!

Aint it cool giving them all the tools and equipment necessary to learn to use weapons properly. I'm going to have to take my girls shooting again soon.

Must be nice! i cant even get Jessica to go into my gun room let alone fire one of them. she refuses to sleep on my side of the bed because of the .38 i have in the night stand.
