WASHINGTON (AP) — A person close to the Chandra Levy case says investigators are preparing an arrest warrant for a 27-year-old Salvadoran immigrant.
This person tells The Associated Press that Ingmar Guandique's arrest is imminent and that an official announcement is expected soon. The source was not authorized to discuss the case publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Levy is the government intern who disappeared from Washington, D.C., in 2001. Her remains were later found in Washington's Rock Creek Park.
