Drove by this the other night when driving across the Hoover Dam......... spectacular! Unfortunately my brother was too much of a dick to stop and let me shoot some photos, it was lit up really nice and the sky behind it was super black, would have made some great images. This site will have to do until I can fly back out there. The site has a bunch of info and some great shots along with a 360 degree semi live feed.

Couldn't find the pics or the live feed, etc.

But Mapquest has some great aerial shots. I put "Henderson, NV" into Mapquest, then panned east till I could see the Hoover Dam. Then clicked on "Aerial Map" in the upper right corner, and zoom in to taste.

The route is graded, many of the pillars for the bridges are in place, it's very clear where this bypass will go.

VERY cool.

I thought some of you guys would enjoy this, I was blown away the other night when we drove by it.

This section tells about the construction up to date, the 360 degree camera is to the left in the margin.

This is where the construction photos are. It's very interesting to see how a bridge is built, takes away some of the magic of seeing it finished and trying to figure out how it could have been done.

awesome

The views from up there will be amazing, hopefully you will be able to walk across it also. A 900 foot drop to the Colorado would almost be as high as the Royal Gorge. The views of the dam and Lake Mead will be very special.
