So, FOX is restructuring its output so that rental outlets will only offer bare-bones editions of their movies, and if you want the special features, you have to buy the movie. This really pisses me off, first of all, most people don't care about bonus features at all, so it doesn't matter, but for those of us that do, we feel betrayed. I check out a lot of bonus features on Netflixed movies, and now FOX thinks it's a smart business plan for them to have to produce two separate DVDs just to screw over me and my ilk? I haven't made the leap yet, but downloading movies is looking better and better every day. If I'm not going to get any bonus features anyway, what's the advantage of renting over downloading?

You don't support their business model, don't buy their product and support those who provide the features you want. Money is the only advice that counts here.

Oh, right, public forum, forgot.... Hey, guys, I meant downloading TRAILERS for the movie that I'll eventually see five times in theaters then buy three copies of! Yeah, that's the ticket!

No, but in all seriousness, they need to take some cues from the music industry. They effed the consumer over for years and years, and now they've found a way to take the product into their own hands, and now the industry is f*cked. I predict the same thing happening to the video industry.
