marriage is a contract between two people.

that is a fact and that is the law.

you want to change that, change on your state's constitution and then hit the federal defense of marriage.....

you don't want the state allowing same sex marriages, then get the state out of marriages completely.

you want to give the state contractual marriage rights by you taking a vow, then expect the state to uphold the EP clause.
