Every once in a while, though, her true self shows through.

They took great pains to show Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush, then Laura Bush as unflattering as possible, but couldn't seem to succeed at that for some reason. Perhaps because each of these women has a quiet, strong, inner beauty that can't be defeated by the camera lens. Compare that to Michelle Obama who looks like a glaring ape at times.
