Pick a reason.

1) They don't like it when conservatives start a grass roots movement because they are the ones that are supposed to get grass root support.

2) They don't like conservatives period.

3) The message is lower taxes and that is evil.

4) They don't have control over those people yet.

5) Those people are not in line with the new way of thinking.

6) Right-Wing Extremism is supposed to be illegal.

Did I leave anything out?

"I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and
disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic.
We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have
the right to debate and disagree with any administration. "

Also MSNBC and CNN are using the erotic term "tea baggers" in reference to the folks that attended the grass roots rallys across the nation on Tuesday.

I will not go into what the term means, and just leave it there. No doubt most know what these sleeze bags on CNN and MSNBC meant.

Also the reference to calling this grass roots rally "astro turf by those networks is just more name calling.

If you look on Drudge, you'll see the size audiences that watched the news on Tuesday, and Fox "Slam dunked" CNN and MSNBC. American news watchers were very, much interested in this ground swell of anger and concern about where our country is going.

google it, it's a nasty term.

Also your right Bush did start the out of control spending with the "stimulus" and the bailouts. Unfortunately Obama, who ran on a platform of change and accountability, isn't keepin up his side of the bargain. Since he got into office he has pushed through 2 more stimuluses.

Our children and grandchildren are going to be the ones paying for it.

This country is so far into debt that we couldn't join the EU even if we wanted to because we have TO MUCH DEBT. What this country and it's people need is to stop uncontrolled spending.

That's what these tea parties are about and that's why I'm going tomorrow.

Where I am it is called a hummer. I still don't care if the goofy people want to make a mockery of real history to push their agenda. I can't say as there are that many who will be facing an increase in income tax who stand in the crowds at these get togethers.

Some people see beyond their avatar's nose.As I have grand children that are almost of age for parenthood I am more concerned about the conservatives desperate drive to destroy America than with debt at this time. Inflated money pays recessive debt very easily. Having no country with a debt is a problem that is a bit more problematic!

You don't think these policies and programs are going to lead to inflation? That is not a conservative position. It certainly describes the last year of Bush and the first close to 100 days of Obama.

I didn't dream you could be even an adult by the liberal stupidity of your posts...
The adage about getting "older and wiser" is just so many meaningless words now....your the exception to the rule....
you can't even grasp the fact that the debt and creeping socialism is what will destroy this nation in a very real sense...and literally destroy this nation as we know it...

I've got quite a few grandchildren, and they are trully going to be saddled with collective national debt as never seen in history.

Also, you don't care what tea bagger means........If you did, you'd realize that hundreds of thousands of fellow American citizens were and are being summarily debased, by some major news media outlets, and you don't giving a darn!

As for those folks in the crowds not having to worry about paying additional taxes..........You have any idea where the money is going to come from to pay back this incredible building debt. I.E. Do like the democrats and just print more monopoly funny money, and run up inflation?

Gold is nearly $900.00/ounce. It isn't because gold is more expensive, its' because our dollar is being summarily devalued by printing a bunch more paper with president's pictures on it, and not backing it up with anything of value, excepty IOU's.! Who's going to pay those IOU's? Take a nice prolonged guess!

:salute:Regarding tea bagging, it is no worse than being called a conservative if you are a liberal or called a liberal if you are conservative. It is only a recognized identifier, noun.

Do you have any idea how screwed this world would be if this money isn't borrowed/printed? International financial collapse is not pretty. The debt incurred should be way less than the cost of doing nothing.

As I don't eat gold I do not care what people pay for it.

its frightening that your allowed to vote....First of all it is the conservatives that wish to destroy the world so they can prove Christ was the messiah. And the stupidity you spew is expected from a republicant. And being older is more than just numbers. When you get there you will find out. As for voting I would like to see all the conservatives banned from it.

Nonsense.

In the late '40s and early '50s, the natonal debt was over 120% of GDP. Obama's policies will leave it well below that level.

I think I share your scepticism. I couldn't find any projections of the GDP and national debt after what's shown. I did find an article at the Washington Post which put the debt at 53%. That's less than what the graph shows now so they must think GDP will soar, ceteris paribus, in the next few years.

Yes, the real reason.

Paying taxes is patriotic. Whining about paying them isn't.

MOST and I mean MOST at the TEA Parties do NOT have a problem with the AMOUNT of taxes payed it is the use of those taxes. I'm sorry Joe you can't take $10.00 in tax and spend $10,000.00 it just doesn't add up. I don't care if your conservative or liberal it all comes down to the same thing, fiscal responsibility and LIVING WITHIN YOUR BUDGET........

Auditors project deeper deficits for Obama budget
March 20, 2009 7:36 PM ET

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's budget would produce $9.3 trillion in deficits over the next decade, more than four times the deficits of Republican George W. Bush's presidency, congressional auditors said Friday.

The new Congressional Budget Office figures offered a far more dire outlook for Obama's budget than the new administration predicted just last month — a deficit $2.3 trillion worse. It's a prospect even the president's own budget director called unsustainable.

In his White House run, Obama assailed the economic policies of his predecessor, but the eye-popping deficit numbers threaten to swamp his ambitious agenda of overhauling health care, exploring new energy sources and enacting scores of domestic programs.

The dismal deficit figures, if they prove to be accurate, inevitably raise the prospect that Obama and his Democratic allies controlling Congress would have to consider raising taxes after the recession ends or else pare back his agenda....
