Melbourne shivers through coldest April in 60 years

MELBOURNE has shivered through its coldest April morning in over 50 years, with temperatures dropping below freezing in some suburbs.

Melbourne recorded a low of 2.9C just before 7am, the equal lowest April minimum temperature since 1957, while a number of suburbs had temperatures of between 0C and 2C.

In Coldstream, in Melbourne’s outer east, the mercury dropped to -2.7C, while Mt Hotham had the morning’s lowest temperature of 4.4C – a day after the mountain recorded the lowest ever April minimum temperature of -8.2C.

Melbourne set another record yesterday when it recorded four days in a row below 15C for the first time since 1949, according to a report in The Herald Sun.

Weather bureau duty forecaster James Taylor said the freezing conditions were the result of a low pressure system that swept across Victoria last weekend.

“Across the state we’ve had widespread frost this morning. The reason it was so cold last night is due to a dry air mass and clear skies,” he said.

Mr Taylor said minimum temperatures were likely to rise to an average of 8C next week.

Public Awareness of Global Warming does seem a bit down but one must understand that Mr. Gore has been very bust lately. Here....some of the things on his April agenda so we can understand:

He's been extremely busy trying to get his asshole son out of going to prison. Flying all over the country to give depositions and meeting with lawyers is time consuning.

In mentioning that, one must understand that it requires a hell of a lot of Jet Fuel. He's been busy lining up his stops (off the record) so as not to attract any more of that PC talk that comes from his having done so.

Al has been very busy working on his house. Being that he lives in one of the most unefficient houses in America, this also has been the target of some "out of touch" righties but he has felt the need to address it. Its rather unpopular to have a four digit power bill and be preaching to the rest of us about effieciency.

Being the inventor of the World Wide Web places certain responsibilities on a guy. Having spent so much time promoting Global Warming so he could make millions off of a movie about it has taken away his precious time necessary to contribute to further discoveries such as this.

Let us also take into consideration that he has been overshadowed somewhat by the Messiah. I'm certain a media whore like Al is busy figuring out how he can change that. Stay tuned for further developments. I have a funny feeling he is not happy about not being offered some position in the new administration like head of everything.
