Watching the reaction from the left on VP Cheney's speech today. Dems look more and more like nagging wives

If Obama is smart, he won't go hunting with Cheney any time soon.

Cheney was excellent..as always....this speech was one that was needed to be given so the pinheads on the left like gabby can't say, "but I didn't know", or " no one ever told me" that Obama is an asshole liberal....
Now they have no excuses...:salute::beer::salute:

VP Cheney must have struck a nerve with the liberal moonbats. A sure sign he is spot on in what he said

Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC: Cheney Speech ‘Sleazy,’ ‘An Abomination’
By Kyle Drennen (Bio | Archive)
May 21, 2009 - 17:22 ET

Immediately following a speech by former Vice President Dick Cheney on Thursday, MSNBC assembled it’s usual panel of left-wing pundits to tear him down, including political analyst Lawrence O’Donnell, who proclaimed: "Well, he came today to -- obviously to do nothing much other than defend torture, which he calls 'tough questioning.' This was as sleazy a presentation by a vice president as we've had since Spiro Agnew. This was an absolute abomination."

Chris Matthews anchored the coverage and had just asked O’Donnell: "Lawrence, can he get away with this? Giving a speech that's -- well, it was 16 pages long -- and never mention the main foreign policy initiative of the administration just passed, which is the war in Iraq." After O’Donnell denounced Cheney’s sleaziness, he went on this diatribe:

He [Cheney] cannot, ever, frame the other side's position honestly. What you saw with Obama earlier was Obama describes the other side's position fairly. He then goes on to advance his position. Cheney comes out and lies about the other side, it's the only way he can talk. He says that Obama will not use the word 'terrorist,' when Obama does indeed use that word. He pretends that all we did was tough questioning. He says that 9/11 -- he says that 9/11 made everyone take a second look at the threat. That is a lie. Dick Cheney and the President were in possession of memos that said this threat was present, this particular methodology was going to come, that they were going to use airliners. He and the President failed in their first nine months in office to pay any attention to the A.Q. Khan network, who he now wants to take credit for dismantling. What did Cheney do before 9/11? He denies, in this speech, that 9/11 changed him and then describes his very specific activities on 9/11, which were frightening for the Vice President. Then he goes on to say that he thinks about it every day. This guy just has to lie from beginning to end through his setup of his opposition's position in order to advance any of his ideas at all, none of which have any proof to them at all.

Lawrence O’Donnell is great to have on the "other" side of the issue...hes shown himself to be just about 95 cents shy of a dollar and undeniably mentally unstable.....ever since his diatribe rant defending Kerry and literally screaming about the Swiftboat Vets on TV...they took him off the air for quite awhile until he got control of himself enough to be in public....

They wouldn't dare put him on with someone that would point out his obvious lies like
"He says that Obama will not use the word 'terrorist"....
Cheney never said that at all about Obama...or else I missed it....(show me if I'm mistaken)

"Dick Cheney and the President were in possession of memos that said this threat was present"
Of course, these were the very same memos that Clinton had and failed to act on...why? because there was nothing to act on but vague claims of threats....the same threats that Clinton had been hearing for years and now Bush was hearing....

"he(Cheney) now wants to take credit for dismantling(Al Q network)"
As Bush and Cheney should...thats what they did...just as Clinton before them tried to do and would have if presented with the same disaster....

And this particular rant..."This guy just has to lie from beginning to end through his setup of his opposition's position in order to advance any of his ideas at all, none of which have any proof to them at all."...makes no freekin' sense at all if you listened to both speeches..

BO and Cheney both made good points and presented themselves and their positions with compelling arguments....

What a great speech. :salute:

On the other hand Obama's speech was nothing but blaming Bush, and whining and complaining about gitmo and how the rest of the world may see us

Obama mentuioned Pres Bush over 20 times in his speech - seems Obama is trying to pass the buck once again

That is never going to stop, Obama has not nor will he ever take any responsibility for his actions

It is time for people to realize Obama has been in office going on 6 months and still blames GW, maybe he should do something already

The only thing Cheney ripped was a good fart! The indefensable is just that. No amount of verbage will change the last administrations actions. Like a thief with too much chain Bushco is drowning in histories view.
