Revalation 21:1: "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away."

2 Peter 3:10-13 "But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells."

Sorry bout that,

1. But not the next age, the one after that, sure.
2. There will be a 1000 year age, where Jesus takes back his kingdom, on earth.
3. So the answer is *No*.
4. The earth does not get destroyed when Jesus returns.

Great scriptures which highlight God's ultimate plan of reconciliation!

lots of views on the millenium, pre-, post-.....my denomination is a-millenialist, which boils down to "it don't matter to me"........why worry about what happens after the rapture if you plan to be leaving with the first wave?.......
