Anyone else here get into vegetable gardening?

I know the subject is a little off topic, but in my case it's "great outdoor vegetable gardening"..:)

We're up here by the Canadian border in Minnesota outside of Ely.

The weather up here this spring & summer has been horrible for the warm loving veggies..especially my tomatos.

I attached 2 pictures of last years garden here..and one picture just this morning...This year it's been a battle getting the green beans to grow due to the cool temps, very wet crap(rainy),and the acidic soil don't help that much either.

We also had to build a 9 foot primitive fence around it to keep the deer out.

Due to the harsh enviroment...next year may make the whole garden just potatos..and tomatos..and do our best for some green & wax beans..Or better yet learn how to collect edible roots & mushrooms, and forget the whole dam thing...lol..:)

Love garden veggies though...can't beat em..:)

Crop failure pioneers die. Good thing there's a grocery.

I worked with a guy for 7 yrs whos parent owned a lodge on the lake in Ely.

Donno the name of the place and they sold it about 1993 or4.

Everything is up for sale up here..that's for sure.

I think you're talking about Shagawa Lake..that's right here on the edge of town.

The best place to live in the world..but the hardest place to make a living it seems.

The economy up here has gone from bad..to worse..lol..:)

Hi Creek! Long time, no see!

Hi Kathianne..:)

I must apologize for my past behavior.

I had a bug up my arse..and didn't even know it.

I think we all go thru turbulent times in our lives that make a person act like...well in my case a "jerk".

With that said...a happy hello to you too..:)
