Anyone else here get into vegetable gardening?
I know the subject is a little off topic, but in my case it's "great outdoor vegetable gardening"..:)
We're up here by the Canadian border in Minnesota outside of Ely.
The weather up here this spring & summer has been horrible for the warm loving veggies..especially my tomatos.
I attached 2 pictures of last years garden here..and one picture just this morning...This year it's been a battle getting the green beans to grow due to the cool temps, very wet crap(rainy),and the acidic soil don't help that much either.
We also had to build a 9 foot primitive fence around it to keep the deer out.
Due to the harsh enviroment...next year may make the whole garden just potatos..and tomatos..and do our best for some green & wax beans..Or better yet learn how to collect edible roots & mushrooms, and forget the whole dam thing...lol..:)
Love garden veggies though...can't beat em..:)
