Blair blames spate of murders on black culture

· Political correctness not helping, says PM
· Community leaders react angrily to comments

Tony Blair yesterday claimed the spate of knife and gun murders in London was not being caused by poverty, but a distinctive black culture. His remarks angered community leaders, who accused him of ignorance and failing to provide support for black-led efforts to tackle the problem.
One accused him of misunderstanding the advice he had been given on the issue at a Downing Street summit.

Black community leaders reacted after Mr Blair said the recent violence should not be treated as part of a general crime wave, but as specific to black youth. He said people had to drop their political correctness and recognise that the violence would not be stopped "by pretending it is not young black kids doing it".

I'm glad to see he isn't afraid to speak the truth. The way any group lives certainly affects what kind of people they will become. It doesn't HAVE to,but it does in many cases. There is nothing wrong with saying a culture that breeds knife carrying punks needs to change. Black or white. Of course,he is being vilified.

How is one supposd to identify a problem if one cannot even call it what it is? It's one of the biggest roadblocks to combatting crime .. and terrorism for that matter .. here. I see it isn't confined to our shores.

What truth? The bullshit that the idiot Tony Blair is spouting? Hell, he is so stupid that he still believes his war in Iraq is based on fears of WMD's and Nuclear Weapon ambitions of Saddam Hussein.

Thank you for demonstrated the typical liberal poster.

1)Ignore points made

How is it horse s***?Is crime not a problem among black youth? Yes it is,because at least half of them don't even have dads around to lead them in the right direction. If a black leader had said this(which they have many times),there would be no problem.

It has nothing to do with the war in Iraq:cool:
