So now the gruesome gang in WA are now calling for people to rat out those
who are spreading "fishy" rumors about the messiahs health care demolition.
They want names.

I have been awake for a long time. Just wait till his "civilian defense force" is established. They will do the work the police are unable or refuse to do.

Anyone else see similarities to pol pot starting to show here?

Unfortunately, I see similarities to an occupied country taking shape. America is definitely taking a 360 deg. change.

From what I've seen on blogs and boards today, the 'general people' are not happy with this. http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/Facts-Are-Stubborn-Things/

However, we need some Republican and Libertarian leaders to stand up and call out this type of behavior.

It doesn't say what they intend on doing with the information that people turn into them. It could simply be that they will be squashing rumor with their so called facts... then again, post something they don't like and you could simply disappear... forever.

To encourage any citizen to send names, web addresses of 'anything they think 'fishy' has a chilling effect on free speech. Audit by IRS anyone? The possible reach of the fed is long and wide. This 'fact post' is every bit a fascist as Gaffer has implied for months now. I tended to think 'rough politics of the Chicago kind', this goes beyond that.

Don't get me wrong, I was as serious with the second part of my statement as I was with the first. It doesn't say what they are going to do with the info. There is an implied threat there. Maybe you won't disappear forever, but that audit letter that just arrived in the mail might make you wish you had.

Seems odd indeed, however, IIRC after 9/11 people were asked to keep an eye out and report anybody who was acting suspect. In that instace the country was that which the people were asked to 'protect' now it's the goverment. It's an uncomftable step but it should not of been an unforseen one. All I can say is, good luck.

Robert Gellately

Earl Ray Beck Professor, Department of History
"Never forget!"

Few disagree with keeping the memory of the Holocaust alive.

But the question of what to remember is still in debate, and one of the most respected and persuasive voices belongs to Robert Gellately, the Earl Ray Beck Professor of History, whose work challenges the central notions of the role played by "ordinary" German citizens in the rule of the Gestapo (secret state police).

His research began with a chance discovery.

Gellately had already published a book on German anti-semitism before the First World War and was doing research in a German archive when a librarian alerted him to a collection of Gestapo files—19,000 of them—that Nazi officers had not had to time to burn before the Allies arrived.

"I started to read these files about all the victims in just one region of Germany that the Gestapo had processed," Gellately says. "It would have taken a large force of secret police to collect information on so many people. I needed to know just how many secret police there really were. So I asked an elderly gentleman who would've lived through those times, and he replied, 'They were everywhere!'"

That was the prevailing myth.

"But I had evidence right there in my hands that supported a different story," Gellately explains. "There were relatively few secret police, and most were just processing the information coming in. I had found a shocking fact. It wasn't the secret police who were doing this wide-scale surveillance and hiding on every street corner. It was the ordinary German people who were informing on their neighbors."...

So any lawyers around here???? I am wondering, isn't this little fishing expedition against the law?????

The official statement on the WhiteHouse Website reads as follows:

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

Now there is a little tricky statement in the US Code that addresses just this type of activity. 5 U.S.C. § 552a of the U.S. Code:

“maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.”

So it would seem that not only is the Obama White House active criminals, but they have a lot in common with the KKK in violating the civil rights of citizens.

Who would have thunk that the first black president would be no different than David Duke.

So many words, few coherent. Indeed the tactics of the left are Gestapo/KGB like, writing fuck and retard won't alter that.

Well, at least we know how one of the 12 year olds feel!

Thugs.

This is the way it's supposed to work:

http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/adc/10231137A~Freedom-Of-Speech-Posters.jpg

When a gang of thugs plant themselves in the front rows of the meeting and shout-down the Representative, shout-out slogans and generally take control of the meeting, no one gets a chance to speak.

That's thuggery.

Well when the gov. is trying to sell the American public a load of crap someone has to stand up and call them on the BS.

People have a right to ask questions and get them answered.

For me, just the inference that "they" would take names and pit Americans
against their neighbor for disagreeing with the almighty government makes
me breathe fire!!!!

HOW DARE THEY!:bs1:

Yep, they've grown some mighty big balls, haven't they? They sheer audacity they have is mind blowing.

They're turning people against each other by asking them to snitch. The world is full of low down dirty people that would break their necks to snitch on someone....

and what treason is happening Joe?

Hmm....doesnt treason come in when the oath taking leader does things that
weaken or harm the country? Like Bush refusing to protect our country from
a foreign invasion...that would be the immigration flood that professed to
take land, change language and culture and defy our laws.....! That is and
was an invasion. Isnt that treasonous to assist a foreign government in
allowing the invasion?

And isnt taking over banking systems, industries and the rights of citizens
somewhat treasonous? I think so! But thats just me.
