Special Notice To Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer:

You and your liberal, 'progressive' cohorts have stated your case for government-controlled healthcare over and over again, ad nauseum. You admit that the idea has been proposed for over a century. We are tired of your lies concerning free market solutions and the 'public option' provision that is designed, ultimately, to drive private insurers out of business. We, the people, now wish to be heard. And THAT is why there is shouting at your townhall meetings. We do not want you to come to us with more lies. We want you to listen and acknowledge our concerns and our opposition to your proposals. If that makes us 'un-American,' then this does nothing but prove your absolutely worthlessness as public servants, highlighting the dire need of the citizens to rid Congress of your ilk.

In a stunning op-ed today in USA Today, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrat Majority Leader Steny Hoyer stated that the attacks against their proposed government takeover of healthcare is 'un-American.'

They further state that proposals such as the one they have approved in Waxman's committee in the House have been around ever since Teddy Roosevelt, 100 years ago.

Isn't that plenty enough time for the citizens of this country to decide they don't want such snake-oil cures for a problem that a few minor adjustments will correct?

The fact of the matter is that Pelosi, Hoyer, and their Democrat colleagues, including the Blue Dogs, do not understand the feelings of the American people. We don't want them to simply use townhall meetings to deliver the same Obama-mandated talking points that are designed to convince the public that we should give up our healthcare rights and let Washington make the most important decisions we will ever make.

No, Madame Pelosi, we want you to listen to us for a change!

The fact that we, the people, no longer wish to listen to your disingenuous drivel does not make us a 'mob,' or a 'group of rightwing extremists bought off by the insurance industry,' or 'un-American.' YOU are the ones who are attempting to squelch the voices of the people. So what does that make YOU?

I will tell you.

It is un-American for Democrats in Congress to pass multi-trillion dollar legislation that they have never read.

It is un-American for Democrats to hold secret sessions to pass legislation, barring the GOP from even being present. Sure, you have the votes to pass such legislation with your majority status, but is it in the American spirit to shut out the opposition and silence voices of dissent? It certainly smacks of under-the-table shenanigans to meet at 3 AM so that no one will know what you're up to.

It is un-American to refer to your constituents, the ones who helped put you in office, as a mob or un-American for merely wanting their voices to be heard by you, the ones who were supposedly elected to represent the people. It is very clear you no longer represent the people but are determined to ram down our throats a healthcare package that rations the care given to the elderly and doubles (at least) the deficit and national debt, which are already at very dangerous levels.

Finally, it is un-American for you to lie to the public. We have the statements in the press, as well as videos, which prove that the ultimate goal of your healthcare proposal is to run the private insurance industry out of business and force all Americans, eventually, into a single-payer, government-run system. Barack Obama himself stated this fact on video. Yet you continue to lie to the American people that you have no intention of doing such a thing.

And this is why Americans are angry with you. Their anger has reached the status of rage, and they are ready to vote every single incumbent out of office in 2010. Are you aware of just how deep are the feelings of the voters concerning your present course of action?

Obviously, you aren't. You are unaware because you are out of touch.

And this is why you must go.

Yeppers, and the war cry for the next election cycle should be ALL INCUMBENTS OUT! Let's fire every last one of them. The new nobility needs to be pulled down off their high horse.

It's not that they don't understand how the people feel, although they don't.

The problem is, they don't CARE. They are convinced that (a) their agenda is best for the country, and (b) it's their job to impose it on the rest of us whether they like it or not.

They are stunningly wrong on both counts. But they will never accept that.

In their minds, it's not necessary for them to understand us, since we're wrong from the get-go... they think.

But they also feel that it's OK to impose their socialist healthcare proposals (and everything else) on us, even if we don't want it.

They won, remember? That's their ultimate reply to all objections.

They are digging their own political graves with this attitude... just as Billary and the Democrat congress did in 1993 with their eerily similar Health Care scheme back then.

Those who ignore history (or don't understand its lessons) are doomed to repeat it.

They have no interest in understanding or even hearing the voice of the
people. They are power crazed and it has never entered their elitist brains
that we would stand up and say, "uh, NO"!

The racist thugs and fascist terrorists of the anti-health care mobs are not "the People." They represent neither the manifest will of the People nor their unarticulated wishes. The mobs comprise misfits, malcontents and miscreants, angry at their loss of status in a changing community, who are lashing-out at forces they don't understand.

You should really reference appropriately when quoting the Communist manifesto.

Just look how your Progressive-Democrat party is imploding right now..you'd be wise to get this message out to them...you all just go right ahead and call the American people voicing their displeasure at this administration all the names you can think of...it is just pissing them off more, and that is going to be your alls downfall...couldn't happen to a nicer bunch:thumb:

I certainly think your take is true for Obama. He's truly an elitist ideologue, that figures the unwashed masses, need him and the evil rich deserve him.

I'm not so sure about Congress though. I think they'd like to win their seats again.

Time will tell.

Sorry I can't help you then, comrade. Unfortunately the only poll you trust is the one from the whitehouse and it says 100% for the plan.
