Of course the guy in the video says bambams administration shut it down due to republican complaints and "old school politics".

In actuality there were concerned about if it was legal for the whitehouse to be doing this kind of monitoring of free speech, and what they were going to do with the collected e-mail addresses.

I guess Chicago style politics is hitting a brick wall. Washington won't play the game bambam is used to playing.

Following a furor over how the data would be used, the White House has shut down an electronic tip box — flag@whitehouse.gov — that was set up to receive information on “fishy” claims about President Barack Obama’s health plan.

I swear this is like the gang who can't shoot straight..it would be funny if some of their plans weren't so damn dangerous to us and the country

and they want to run our health care system....you betcha

Makes me wonder if the Dems put those thing in at first, just for the purpose of sparking anger and demands that they be removed.... so they could later remove them and say, "There, we did what you Republicans wanted, NOW will you vote for the Health Care bill?"

And when Republicans point out the the Helath Care bill is still and unacceptable version fo govt-run health care, the Dems would say, "See, we tried to compromise, but these Republicans are deaf to any agreements, and are simply being obstructionist...."

An old, familiar tactic.

Or it will remain quietly up and running.

More likely scenario. How many names did they get that they won't give back in the time that it was up?

Bottomline: Whitehouse basically just apologized for telling us that they are destroying our freedoms. In the future, they won't notify us.

How many will result in IRS audits?
