Well.....first of all it does not take Beck to demonstrate what a racist Barack Obama is. His own behavior concerning the police dept of Cambridge's activity concerning one of his well known racist pals, pretty much sums it up without Glenn Beck having anything to do with it. I think an emballistic idiot could tell that his behavior there was purely racist.......even liberals have admitted that.

As for the advertisers. Look like some fantastic opportunity ahead for some companies not usually able to afford a time slot such as is offered during Beck's show, about to gain some real marketplace advantage.

As for Wal-Mart. Advertising is futile anyway. people don't "choose" Wal-Mart, they shop there because they are everywhere and can't avoid it. Advertising does nothing for wal-mart except cause them to raise prices to pay for the time. Whoever is in charge there these days should be flogged for wasting the profits on advertising.

Liberals would no doubt like to believe, such as the poster of this thread, that Beck will be silenced because of this. Won't happen. There is a reason he has become the second most listened to voice in America and climbing. They need to be careful. If Beck doesn't have a job in 2012 he may choose to run for President and THAT would be something that would hurt Liberals feelings everywhere. I on the other hand wouldn't mind Mr. Beck being the first Libertarian president so have at it Liberals, I wish you all the success in the world.

BECK 2012
Libertarian for President

ROFLMAO, all the way "beck" to Liberty

Dont believe it. Most of those so called advertisers never purchased slots in Glenn's show anyway. He still has all the slots filled. He isnt losing money.

A left-wing group’s effort to intimidate corporate advertisers on Fox News’ Glenn Beck show appears to be backfiring as it triggers a wave of support from grass-roots fans rushing to defend the popular TV personality from the attacks. ...

A reverse boycott is precisely what's taking place.

On Aug. 16, Beck supporter John Hill launched a Web site, DefendGlenn.com. Five days later, the site had recorded 1.9 million visits, racked up 1,033 Twitter followers, and garnered 5,800 user comments on its "Support Wall," Hill says.

"Let your voice be heard! Fight back against the lies and the extremist boycott of Glenn Beck," the site declares.

DefendGlenn.com provides contact information for companies that have pulled their advertising. It also lists and encourages the companies who have stuck with the Beck program.

Yippee!!! Thank you ColorofChange for letting me know what companies are against free speech. These pullouts by these advertisers has really helped me to decide who I will be shopping with in the future.

PS - I didn't shop at Whole Foods prior to the WSJ article by the owner advocating another option from Obama's plan..........but now that I see the radical left is boycotting him for stating his non-pro Obama opinion, I will be shopping there to support him, even though it's a bit expensive. Freedom isn't free (or cheap).

Gabby.....have you ever called anyone a "racist"? If so, would you consider yourself a hateful person? Why are you so gleeful that Mr. Beck is being condemned for calling someone a racist?

Beck will continue to frustrate the left because he is not a "right" wing hard core type. Oh sure to them he looks it because that is all they hear but actually he jumps the right side when appropriate also and has many times.

Glenn Beck is true Libertarian. He talks the talk and he walks the walk. The left, long after they have honed their strategies against a Rush or a Hannity will have tremendous trouble making progress against Beck because he not only appeals to the hard core right wingers that Hannity courts like the religious right but also independants and moderates who hold dear the institution of a Republic.

When truth is on your side you cannot lose. Beck will demonstrate that to us all over the next two years and will be an integral part of tearing down the silk curtain over the left's smoke screen.

PREDICTION: Whoever has Glenn Beck as a keynote speaker in 2012 will win the next presidential election.

What is or isn't 'trash talk' is relative, not absolute.

Freedom of speech is supposed to be one of our inalienable rights, after all.

I don't recall ever reading anything about mind control of the masses, the whitewashing of news reporting, or censorship as being acceptable anywhere amidst the verbiage of The Constitution of the United States. Quite the contrary, but, one would never know it in these times.

It is truly alarming how many people are becoming fearful of speaking their opinions because they are out of step with the current administration. In all my life I have never seen so much lipstick on so many pigs. Current liberals seem unwilling to admit that previous president's were also subjected to criticism. One would think it has only been invented since January 20th 2009.

We look with disdain at other countries living under the cloaks of tyrannical governments, but until the libs stop knitting with their outlandish yarns, we're going to see a cloak descending upon us at breakneck speed.

Wake up Lefty, because if Glenn Beck can have his right to free speech put under this kind of threat, how much more is yours at risk?

True there are plenty of wacko's out there that would do it for the greater glory of the dark lord. They just have to be sure the administration is not involved in any way. Make sure the planning and financing can't be traced back.

more like color of crap or color of communismIf yo read through the "color of change" web site you would have noticed how it is VERY racist in its presentation. I noticed that NO WHERE were they championing a cause for anyone other than blacks. Now change sites and put a "white site" up like that and it would be labeled a racist site....!!!!!!

I went out of my way Sunday to shop at Whole Foods. I'm careful with my bucks, but still spent a wise $50 or so, including 2 bags made from recycled plastic bottles. The kids at school were impressed with those bags. ;)

Funny me and the CEO of Whole Foods being in near complete agreement regarding health care. I've no desire to change my stance. Him?

One thing is for sure....the truth hurts. If it didn't and it wasn't the truth, the left could merely ignore it but Beck has stirred the shitpot BIG TIME!

I am confident that responsible journalists will stand up and cry foul plenty and it is important to make sure they get appropriate exposure when they do.

Yay Kathianne!!! This is exactly what I'm talking about. I made sure the checker knew exactly why I was shopping at Whole Foods. And, I was hoping to run into some protesters but didn't see any on this trip.

My husband is getting freaked out about my newfound political activism. When I told him I went to a tea party and demanded they lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance he was proud of me, but worried because I'm historically one of the silent majority.....always thinking that my country would be better served by my stability and hard work. Now, I've become one of those "vocal" squeaky wheels.

I used to buy my prescriptions at WalMart because it was more convenient that CVS........but I'm transferring my prescription so I don't have to walk in there. The hardest store to stay out of will be Best Buy.......it's the only real electronics store we have here locally. Radio Shack........we quit going there quite some time ago. Men's Warehouse - ugh.........and I'll have to pay more attention to the cheese I buy - no more Sargento.

Anyone else willing to fess up to the products they are willing to boycott?

The companies haven't stopped to think about the people that will reverse boycot them. Two can play that game. In fact I would bet they will lose more money by not advertising on Beck's show than by advertising. The leftie nuts do not make up the majority in this country. Most of them hate places like walmarts and don't shop there anyway. So now wally world loses their business as well as their regular customers.

I don't get to listen to beck or watch his show because of my work schedule. But once in a while I get to catch him. Saw the video of his show in YouTube of him explosing Van Jones as a full fledge communist.

Unbelievably we actually have communist "czars" running our country right now, appointed by our Democratic Socialist leader of course.
