That's when I am purchasing them, in October. :thumb:

I wasn't real thrilled with the fact I could not opt out of Vista, like I could some of the other software.

Sounds like a great deal, the only laptop computer I would purchase is a Apple MacBook Pro 17" but you could get two sets of those computers(probably be a good idea for backups) and have almost 700 dollars left for antivirus protection.

The MacBook I plan on purchasing next month, will have 4 gigs of RAM and a 500 Gig 7200 rpm hard drive with a 3.06 ghz intel core 2 duo processor that can run Windoze and Snow Leopard. It also comes with a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB graphics card. It has a built in camera and an amazingly beautiful lit keyboard which comes in handy on a red eye flight.

I love the ease of use and the dependability of Apple products but most of all, I love the operating System, OSX is a pure joy to use. My former computer, still use it to run my printer, is a G4. It has run OSX for as long as I have had it...... never crashed, never a virus....... I just needed something with more speed and memory options so I recently picked up a 3.06 ghz 24" iMAC with 4 gigs of RAM and a TB hard drive and a ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB graphics card, it's perfect for work on photographs. I just installed Snow Leopard with no problems, machine actually feels faster.

Personally I started buying all my electronics at Sams Club. As a plus member I get an extra year of warranty, so when I buy their 3 year extended warranty, that gives me the manufacturer warranty plus 4 years extended. I'm on my first laptop from Sams.

I have not found a laptop that does not start having issues after 2 years. I've had IBM, HP, Toshiba and Fujitsu. I didn't keep my first HP long enough for it to have problems, it was just so heavy I didn't like it.

Make sure you listen to the speakers if sound quality matters to you. My current HP has Altec Lansing and sounds pretty decent but my other laptops were terrible.

Mac is a good choice if you do allot with graphics and don't mind learning a new operating system.

For antivirus I like comodo security.

Getting a new computer is such fun!!!

I got a new one for my birthday this year - it's a Sony Vaio (my 2nd and I love them) and it's cosmopolitan (pearlescent) pink!!! What I love the most is the built in camera, long life battery, light colored keyboard with raised keys and ultra lightweight.

Other than that, I couldn't tell you the other properties it has other than my hubby says it's "powerful". Cost me under $600.00 at Best Buy because we bought in conjunction with a new flat screen TV and got a $100 off coupon!

I do know that I have the Vista software and while it takes some getting used to I like it.

Here's the web site with all the specs

Hope you have fun with your new toys Trinity!
