Before our move up to Michigan, I picked up audio versions of the Chronicles of Narnia. Having books on CD made the trip more tolerable - I suggest it to all. Included in the bundle was a single - book volume of all the stories. While reading The Last Battle I came across a part which struck me curious.

The follow was spoken by an Ape, pretending to have access to the truth - to Aslan, the God of the world. The ape was being questioned on the policy he was letting down in the name of Aslan. Read the following and tell me if it doesn't sound VERY MUCH like the shit spewed by liberals EVERY DAY in our government. I'll add in parts to clarify my point.

"And now there's another thing you got to learn," said the Ape (Politician), "I hear some of you saying I'm an Ape (Part of the general population). We'll I'm not. I'm a Man (The Chosen One)....and it's because I'm so wise I'm the only one Aslan is ever going to speak to (I have the cornerstone on truth). He can't be bothered talking to a lot of stupid animals (don't question our bills and laws - they are far too complex for you commoners to understand)...And now here's another thing," the Ape went on, "I hear some of the horses (moderates) are saying, 'Let's hurry up and get the job of carting timber (taxes) over as quickly as we can and then we'll be free gain (we'll repeal the tax).' Well, you can get that idea out of your heads at once...It's all for your own good. We'll be able, with the money YOU earn (emphasis mine) to make Narnia a country worth living in. They'll be oranges and bananas pouring in (health care as a right) - and roads and big cities and schools and offices and whips and muzzles and saddles and cages and kennels and prisons - oh everything! (oppressive government control into every aspect of life)"
"But we don't want all those things," said an old Bear (Conservative). "We want to be free (from Big Government)."
"Now don't you start arguing (spreading hate)," said the Ape, "For it's a thing I won't stand. I'm a Man (The Chosen One) and you're only a fat, stupid old bear (___o-phobe/__Monger, etc). What do you know about Freedom? You think freedom means doing what you like (with as little government interference as possible). Well you're wrong. That isn't true freedom. True freedom means doing what I tell you."

Now - isn't that very much like we hear today from the mindless, souless LMM and the Liberal Government officials? They expect the population to blindly follow their every whim - even when they don't WANT to. They want to dictate our freedom - usurping our constitutional rights to freedom all in the name of Socialism.

We have forgotten, because in part of wide-spread liberal educators in our schools and colleges, this government is BY and FOR and OF the people. The people are greater than the Gov't.

Just watch...if Obama wins in 2012, there will be wide-spread call to repeal term limits for Presidents. If he doesn't win, there will be wide-spread race riots.

Gather up those things important to you, folks. Watch out for your own.

That's what that sounds like to me. However, the liberal author is pushing his/her beliefs off on our youngsters. How sneaky and rotten. Molding our childrens minds right from the author himself. That's one way to push your beliefs on others...in a childrens book, and I'm sure it's been done many times before.

The author is a Christian (was, he's dead). He was portraying a corrupt Ape. The Ape was bad/evil...that's why the Ape said those things.
