Can you give a little information on what this is about? It looks more like a training exercise rather than a real demonstration. There are more police there than demonstrators and most of those at the front of the "crowd?" are taking pictures and filming. Most people seem to be in little groups standing to the side and watching.

I can only watch this in bits and pieces as this kind of filming gives me motionn sickness.

It's the protesters in Pittsburgh, Gaf, the G20 summit.

Thanks hj, I haven't been rooting through the news for a few days and wasn't sure what this was all about. And thanks CP for bring this up as I will be digging more info up on it now.

I would normally not give a second thought to G20 protests as in the past it has mostly been anarchist rising hell and looking for an excuse to start a riot and destroy things. They usually are in large groups and do a lot of rock throwing and making charges at the police. They work in large groups to make identification more difficult.

Looking at this video I saw what looked like a demonstration or exercise of how a mob is handled. I saw no marchers and only a few signs. The majority of the people in front of the cops were taking pictures. And the people I saw around there were dressed normally and just standing and watching. Anarchists dress weird with spiked hair and strange clothing. I saw none of that. There was also no desecration of the flag. And no half naked queers exposing themselves. The guy with the V mask did stand out. Makes me think these are not folks that are use to getting in the face of riot cops.

I didn't watch the third video so I may have missed something. The wildly moving camera gives me motion sickness and I can only look at it for so long before I get real queasy.

I have noticed the media has failed to cover any of it. But then if these are right wing demonstrators I would think the media would be all over it, just to show how dangerous conservatives are.

For me, I have this one observation, we have access to this via Youtube, so uh, yeah, our free speech has not been impacted yet on the level your headline claimed.
