Where would you like to see the Olympics held?

1. Rio de Janeiro

I can't see why anyone would want them to be in thug-land. Kids getting beat down in broad daylight. Rampant crime rates. Should we really be showing the worst of America off to the world?

I don't want the rest of the world to judge us by the thugs in Chicago.

I voted , but there was no pick for my vote, it should of had a anywhere but Obamaland, I have to agree with crin, although they say there are parts of Chicago that are beautiful there would be people all over Chicago and there would be so much crime it would really give the USA a black eye

Staging the modern Olympic games is a huge waste of time, effort and money.

I enjoy watching the Olympics especially gymnastics since that's what I did In High School.

I'm glad chicago didn't get it though. Their traffic is a nightmare already they couldn't have handled millions of more people driving to events.

I know I'd much rather go to Rio de Janeiro than Chicago for a vacation.

Seriously, in spite of the 'government', Chicago is an awesome city for a vacation. I can't wait to move away so I can return to visit. Probably the most awesome architecture in the world. Very friendly people. A downtown and environs that are safe and clean, with great restaurants, museums, and shopping. The lakefront is gorgeous for walking or biking. Seeing the city from lake on a boat, freaking unbelievable! Moreso at night, but still awesome during the day.

Theater second to none. Universities that are worth a visit on their own, but couple up with associations and museums, making them part of the community, regardless of your education level.

I have plenty of complaints of living in IL, especially as close to the City as I do. With that said, there are many reasons that it is one of the top cities to attract college grads. It's the poster child for big city machine, yet also the poster child for what makes successful cities great.
