It's a d@mned shame. Just think of all the incentive the atheletes would have had, running at top speed from knife- and gun-wielding muggers, jumping through tremendous hoops put up by politicians offering favors, etc.

Odd that it happened so fast, though. Chicago was practically the first location to get rejected. Didn't our esteemed President just get back from making the first in-person Presidential sales pitch in Olympic history?

Today on MSNBC they blaimed his administration for not giving him good information on the chances of winning.

McChimpy's administration is either full of yes-men or they are all morons (or both). How could they let him fly out to lobby for the Olympics? They could in no way control the outcome, all it did was allow the world to embarass the US.

McChimpy's ego is so big he thinks he can accomplish anything by showing up and campaigning. His speeches were all about him and his selfish wife. It didn't help that she LIED during one of her speeches either:


Sports were a gift I shared with my dad -- especially the Olympic Games.

Some of my best memories are sitting on my dad's lap, cheering on Olga and Nadia, Carl Lewis, and others for their brilliance and perfection. Like so many young people, I was inspired. I found myself dreaming that maybe, just maybe, if I worked hard enough, I, too, could achieve something great.
