Sorry bout that,

1. You don't want to go and mock God.
2. Making claims about how God isn't in control, or he doesn't matter. or not needed.
3. It could cost you, real fast if you do.
4. I'dd advise against it, even for those heatherns here.
5. This below is somthing you heatherns here should contemplate very closely.

Makes you think:

"I stood up, I showed up, I stepped forward.
I raised my right hand, I stood in the gap, I walked in the fire.
I did not run, I did not hide, I did not dodge, I did not evade."

DID YOU KNOW
THESE FACTS?

I
SURE DIDNT TILL NOW

Death
is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!

Make a
personal reflection about this........

Very
interesting, read until the end.....

It is
written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):

'Be not
deceived; God is not mocked:

for
whatsoever a man sow,

that shall
he also reap..

Here are some
men and women

who mocked
God :

John Lennon
(Singer):

Some
years before, during his interview with an American Magazine,
he said:

'Christianity
will end, it will disappear.

I do
not have to argue about

that.
I am certain.

Jesus
was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more
famous than Him' (1966).

Lennon, after
saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ,
was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves

(President of Brazil ):

During
the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes
from his party, not even God would remove him from
Presidency.

Sure he got
the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President,
then he died.

Cazuza
(Bi-sexual Brazilian
composer, singer and poet):
During
A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ),

while
smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air
and said:'God, that's for you.'

He died at
the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner...

The man who
built the Titanic
After
the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the
Titanic would be.

With
an ironic tone he said:

'Not
even God can sink it'

The
result: I think you all know what
happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe
(Actress)

She
was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a
show.

He
said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.

After
hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:

'I
don't need your Jesus'.
A week later,
she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott
(Singer)

The
ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he
sang:

'Don't
stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to
hell'.

On the 19th
of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked
by his own vomit...

Campinas (IN 2005)

In
Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a
friend.....

The
mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the
drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter
holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:

'My
Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.'

She
responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause
Inside Here.....It's Already Full '

Hours later,
news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident,
everyone had died,

the car could
not be recognized what type of car it had been, but
surprisingly, the trunk was intact.

The police
said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To
their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was
broken

Christine Hewitt

(Jamaican Journalist and
entertainer)

said the
Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.

In June 2006
she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor
vehicle.
Many more
important people have forgotten that there is no other name
that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.

Many have
died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still
alive. "

'Jesus'

Not true at all...

51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. (Matthew 27:51-53)

Christ was the First. He wasnt the only. He enabled the others to do it. And because He has all men will.

BTW that post was incredibly difficult to read. What's with all the space???

Full of crap thread is full of crap.

Firstly, why the page strech?

Seoncdly arguements like 'mock gawd and ye shall surly die soonish' is laughable.

The fact that you would use examples like;

John Lennon

You'd need to be a unique kind of idiot to think that such events are related.

In the same way that i could mock God tonight, and get hit by a bus tomorrow, now was i hit by the bus cus i mocked god? Or because i was too busy playing with my phone to look up and down the road?

And lastly, if you do truly believe that God likes to step in to end the lives of those who mock him, what of those who have committed vile acts? Why did he not step in to stop Hitler before he murdered 6 million jews? (or was it okay because Hitler never said he was 'more famous that jesus')

7. Jews didn't have a homeland till they went through WWII.
8. Which was predicted by God, thousands of years ago, even before Jesus Christ came.

1. Wrong, those who boarded the Titanic, had a choice.
2. They may have not even believed what was said by the maker of the ship, but they road anyways.
3. They took a risk, and it didn't pan out for them.
4. Crap happens.
5. There are countless examples of this kind of destruction on mankind in scriptures, MM, you should be aware of that, am I right?
6. I've heard you preach a little.
7. One thing that comes to mind, is the tower of Babble, for which God destroyed, and sent all the world into disaray, confusing the languages.
8. So you're saying God isn't just to do so?

I've said this before but it's worth a repeat. I was born into a Catholic family and raised as such. Made my communion and confirmation and attended the same church for most of my early years. But, I'm not very well versed in the bible and don't like to enter debates blindfolded.

Why did I enter this thread then?

Sex for Sam!

Opie and Anthony, risque DJ's out of NY, held a contest under that title. Couples had sex around NYC and got points for all the places they did the deed, some places much more difficult than others which gained them more points. One couple decided to do the deed on the steps of St. Patricks Cathedral and got busted by the cops. The DJ's ultimately got suspended for awhile.

Before the case could reach the courtroom, the gent involved in the deed dropped dead.

Indeed tehre is much i shall never understand, tis a common flaw inbuilt into all humans i fear,

You are second guessing Gods actions by seeing things that happen, i.e. the sinking of a ship, and saying that God *must* of had a hand in it.

Did you not read my post?
You are second guessing God by assuming that if someone gets shot dead or if a ship sinks that it was God that did it to wipe the smile off the face of those who 'mocked' him. You are making assumptions over Gods actions, and are thus second guessing him.

1. No I'm not.
2. I'm simply telling a story, and the story says what you thought.
3. In your mind, you think that I assume to speak for God.
4. I'm just telling the story, you need to decide to believe it or not.

1. Yes, this kind of story just automatically gives you pause, and makes you wonder about *The Big Picture*.
2. In *The Big Picture*, God is not mocked by famous or well known people, there would seem to be a price that will have to be paid.
3. One would wonder why Madonna hasn't met some tragic end, seeing she has many times seemed to mock God in her concerts, or was it just copying God, but not mocking?
4. That I don't know the details, I did hear an uproar some years back thou.
5. Does make one wonder, not that I wish anything untoward to happen to her.
6. I think its important to be careful when flipantly addressing God, he will be listening.
7. Especially when its being reported to the world in general, either on screen, or written on paper.
8. Gods listening, and he hears you.

I am saying that a loving God would not send innocent passengers of the Titanic to their deaths in an effort to punish the designer for his ego.

But you seem to forget that all those who believeth shall have everlasting life...............

So a loving God would not be punishing innocent passengers, for the innocent passengers would have everlasting life, the only ones that would become worm food would be those who did not believe.

No ego involved, only the saving of souls of what this world had in store for them, but instead they now bask in his heavenly glory.

dmk
