Did the PC mentality allow this creep to murder 13 people?

Officials: U.S. Army Told of Hasan's Contacts with al Qaeda

U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.

According to the officials, the Army was informed of Hasan's contact, but it is unclear what, if anything, the Army did in response.

Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI), the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said that he requested the CIA and other intelligence agencies brief the committee on what was known, if anything, about Hasan by the U.S. intelligence community, only to be refused.

In response, Hoekstra issued a document preservation request to four intelligence agencies. The letter, dated November 7th, was sent to directors Dennis Blair (DNI), Robert Mueller (FBI), Lt. Gen Keith Alexander (NSA) and Leon Panetta (CIA).

Hoekstra said he is "absolutely furious" that the house intel committee has been refused an intelligence briefing by the DNI or CIA on Hasan's attempt to reach out to al Qaeda, as first reported by ABC News.

"This is a law enforcement investigation, in which other agencies—not the CIA—have the lead," CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said in a response to ABC News. " Any suggestion that the CIA refused to brief Congress is incorrect."

Investigators want to know if Hasan maintained contact with a radical mosque leader from Virginia, Anwar al Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen and runs a web site that promotes jihad around the world against the U.S.

In a blog posting early Monday titled "Nidal Hassan Did the Right Thing," Awlaki calls Hasan a "hero" and a "man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people."

According to his site, Awlaki served as an imam in Denver, San Diego and Falls Church, Virginia.

The Associated Press reported Sunday that Major Hasan attended the Falls Church mosque when Awlaki was there.

Chris Matthews dose not seem to think Hasan calling AQ was anything to worry about

It was a combination of the PC mentality and refusal to admit that this is a religious war that caused the murder of those 13 soldiers. I have no doubt that this will continue and escalate now that there was one big success from their view point. This may become the American version of suicide bombers.

I wonder how the liberal media would be "reporting" this story if this would have happened under Pres Bush

Nobody wants to admit the truth and want to keep pushing "diversity"

I hate saying this, but I actually hope it was just PC garbage. because if this was intentional for some sinister reason, we have a very serious issue

I have often wondered why Chris Matthews even bothers to have guests on his show since he won't let them get a word in edgewise. Dr. Jasser is immensely more qualified to talk about this issue than Matthews, but is not even able to answer any of the barrage of questions.

Political correctness is quite a large thumb to keep so many under such fierce control. Chirping on a debate site is one thing, but creating a genuine shift in the power base is yet another. As long as we continue to allow those in power to force us to act in ways that contradict our common sense, we will be mired in the muck we are in. Democrats are not making it work and Republicans are not making it work. Unless the power is removed from the government and returned to the people, these kinds of incidents will escalate. People need to become better educated about what Radical Islam is really all about. We are not fighting a religion...we are fighting a cultural ideology. Religion is just the banner they wave to validate their twisted way of thinking. Middle easterners have been waging war with one another for many many centuries. Now we are in their cross hairs and no amount of PC is going to change that.

Sorry bout that,

1. This is far more serious than anyone here can imagine.
2. We in fact need to ban muslims from our military.
3. Close down their cult locations.
4. And ban islam from America.
5. There is already some runbling of this about to take place.
