Nothing noble. It's the difference between what I could get from a lens I want to sell, and the lens I hope to purchase.

Naw - I'm shifting towards the RADICAL idea of actually spending Money I already HAVE, vs. spending Money I hope to GET.

Damn... I hear that! All my credit cards, (I have five), are sitting on my desk. I don't even carry them with me, well, except for one, which I've vowed not to use unless for an emergency. I've been making great strides paying off my once out of control credit card balances. Lesson learned.

Yup, the dark side for me! Now don't hate me or anyhting, but when I was camera shopping, Nikon just seemed more "cool".

As for a scholarship- we be tryin. She's ranked 19th out of about 360, but it's tough out there in scholarship land. Maybe we should just check "Native American" on her application for aid, and if challenegd, we'll say we misunderstood the meaning. :coffee:

Was she born in America? If so she is, by definition, a Native American.

$700? come on, I need $15000.!

You could whore yourself out to 150 fat chicks for $100 each...or you could whore yourself out to 15 REALLY fat chicks for $1000 each. Hey, fat chicks need love, too...they just gotta pay.

Oh, and no discussion involving financial discipline could possibly be complete without a link to www.daveramsey.com

Pale, save up $1000 as fast as you can as an emergency fund (negating most of the credit card needs), then pay off all of your debts from smallest to largest, making only minimum payments on all but the one you're currently paying off. When you pay off a debt completely, everything you were paying on that debt each month can now be applied to the next debt, and the payments on that one can later be applied to the next debt on the list, making what is called a 'debt snowball.' When that's done, cut up the cards and save up about 3-6 months worth of expenses as an emergency fund, thus completely negating the need for an 'emergency' credit card. Debt will ruin you, and anything bought on credit will end up costing you a lot more than it would otherwise.

Framed? Or just the image. If you want 'just the image', I could hook you up for about $20, iirc, based on Costco's prices. :) Graham hill?
