Shit, I'm a dumbass, and so are all of the others who took Pittsburgh this week! I coulda retracted my pick and no one would have noticed, but I want to beat Jackass fair and square!

Anyway, here's why: Big Ben was injured in OT last week, in what is being labeled a mild concussion. They gave him early week tests which he passed easily and they announced he would start this week. Now they retracted that and stated he will not start as a precautionary measure.

Troy Polamalu is being held out similarly with a bad knee. He's ready to go, but they don't want him to aggravate the injury.

Charlie Batch is their second string QB. He relieved Ben last week after the injury and played a total of 3 plays. He was tackled awkwardly in one play and broke his wrist. He is having surgery and his done for the year.

Dennis Dixon, their 3rd string QB, who has never started an NFL game before, will get the nod this week. Backing him up is a guy they signed to the practice squad earlier in the week, and elevated him to backup when Ben's status was downgraded. Ben will be dressed for an emergency and is listed as 3rd in the lineup this week.

Bye Bye Playoffs. :(
