While I was at work, after reading about the speech and watching clips - it looks like Obama got as close to voting present as he could

Looks like there will be a surge then a retreat

Also, Obama blamed Pres Bush as often as he could

Bottom line - like the economy - this is Obama's baby for now on

I was at work, yet I did see where on MSNBC Olberman cheered "President Obama will announce the beginning of the end of the war in Afghanistan"

Libs like Olberman - and Obama himself - were against the surge in Iraq, the surge that worked.

This speech is 4 months late and 10,000 troops short.

I am looking for how Obama's base is reacting to the speech
