I would have loved to grow up in that era, the comedy was great and everything the clothes I lov that era.

Chloe the clothes are great...the women and men both are always very put together. I think dressing up is fun,but I don't know if I could be so girlie everday and not get cranky LOL. Love Cary Grant also... here are two good ones with him in the lead roles.

Agreed ! I love the way both the men and women dressed back then, I wouldn't want to doll up in fancy dresses everyday but I do like the look. I like Fedoras and men in suits with style, but I also like those old fashioned hero vigilante characters from retro 50's,60's,70's movies the clint eastwoods, charles bronson, steve mcqueen, james dean.....

If you like Steve McQueen,you would probably like this version of The Thomas Crown Affair as well... have you seen it?

Because I have loved old flicks since I was a kid, we opened a small video store in the 90's, which has since met with its demise. I have seen so many flicks over the years the titles escape me. What the old classic flicks of yesteryear had, todays movies lack. But by the same token, the new flicks of today, are so far above the old ones, in theatrical stunts etc. While there were flash and bright lights in many bygone ones, they don't compare by todays standards, in that respect. Still..........they are the ones I keep running to when I need to get away for a couple of hours. They make me smile. Or maybe cry. I laugh. I sigh. And when I think of all the movies from the earlier days of Hollywood that are lost and gone forever, it makes me sad, like I've lost an old friend, because I will never be able to see them again.

Like many old black and whites, the film that was used, was degradable and were lost before the studios were able to transfer them onto new film, as it became available. Thus...the only copies of such wonderful movies have met with their demise as well...

he is very charismatic, I bought that movie for my ex mother in law one year, its a great chick flick, I also liked it very much. He is so cute:cool:
