Wind energy has been in use for many years in Minnisota and other cold climates.

Wind energy is actually a good idea for remote locations.

Unfortunately most wind sufficient places are also cold places.

A couple years ago I was checking into a 10 kilowatt system made in China.

Everything needed to power an average 2000 s/f living space would cost between 20 and 25 G's.

This price would almost double for a comparable American made unit.

Wind is a good energy source for someone considering a hunting cabin in a wilderness or semi wilderness area or just living off the grid.

If living on grid the unused energy could be sold back to the local power company if off grid the unused energy could be stored in batteries for when there is no wind.
