Thanks to global warming, I am not spending this weekend with my girlfriend. I came home early this morning ahead of a global warming event that according to the "experts" will dump three feet of snow on top of me

The snow started about one hour ago

Where is Al Gore? He is hiding behind a snow drift, or cuddled up in an igloo

This BS about the global warming is not going anywhere. The enviro wackos will still push it since they want our tax dollars for to keep them working

With all the rain we have been getting over night I would have expected a global flood if God hadn't promised otherwise.

Any flooding around your place?

We still have a few more hours of snow, and then the winds will be around until morning

I tried to clear the snow but it blew right back

It will be a long day tomorrow when I try to clear a path to the car, and dig it out

When I had my small backyard turned into a large patio I added a 2' deep x 2' wide trench behind the patio. When I got up this morning it was over flowing.

Were supposed to have thunder storms and rain all day today.

I am not sure which is worse. The heavy rain or the heavy snow

Snow is worse..leave the shovel inside and pay someone to clear the driveway. It's worth avoiding a heart attack.

The snow has finally stopped. I will clear a path to the car and dig it out

Unlike some people I know damn well I can't do it all at once. I will do a little at a time Mr P

I have cleaned off the porch, the steps, and started a path to the car

I do not have to go anywhere until late Monday morning - assuming my employer is open and the back raods I have to take to get to the Intersate are cleared

Is that a Honda Fit?

Nope, Toyota Echo with over 180,000 miles on it - and running strong. They do not make them anymore, but it was one of the best made cars Toyota made

I love the car, and will keep running it until it gives up the ghost

The wind is picking up, so I will wait to dig the car out until the wind dies down and the landlord plows the lane

Why dig out the car when the plow and wind may bury it again? Can't go anywhere for at least 24 hours until the main road at the end of my lane in plowed by Pen Dot

Yea, this is the best car I ever had. Still pulls 40 MPG

My landlord's son is plowing the lane out :thumb:

But he said Pen Dot has not touched the main road at the end of the lane. I have mountains of snow as a yard, but it will not take much to dig the car out

Now, they are talking about more snow for Tuesday night into Wedsday morning

I will clean out the car after the wind dies down, but I will always remember this Super Bowel weekend

Be careful up there Red, the snow may have stopped but as long as there is wind there will be snow blowing back across the highways, with that amount of snow it will take a while for it to be safe

Interesting that you enjoy referring to a seasonal atmospheric event as a refute to global warming. When rain bands cross into freezing temperatures, it produces snow.
What ended up as three feet of snow on the east coast began as mild temperature rain here on the West Coast.

Gabby, according to the kook left, the tree huggers, and enviro wackos - the Earth is warming

After Katrina, we were warned how Cat 5 storms would hit the US every year

When was the last time a Cat 5 storm hit us?

I am pointing out the weather is not cooperating with the incovenient truth be spread around

These are record snowfalls for us this winter, Gabby. And to have two really big storms in one season here in Delaware is almost unheard of.

On the bright side, the plows our neighborhood association hired came through for us big time this year. The street in our cul-de-sac is just about completely clear. They came through several times during and after the storm.

It would be poetic justice if Al Gore was caught in a blizzard and froze to death
