3. Or a lot and build one.
4. Then buy another house in the city where I currently own a house.
5. And cash in all my chips, meaning all my properties here.
6. And buy a one way ticket to the Philippines, with my family.
7. All in about 5-8 years max.
8. Its my plan, at least now.:coffee:
9. How will you retire???

2. Ever been there?
3. Its not as bad as you think.
4. Manila looks like NYC.
5. It has its problems, but they are not as bad as what America is becoming.
6. Who wouldn't like to live in a tropical paradise? see it here:http://www.wowphilippines.com.ph/

Sorry bout that,

1. Here's part of my plan,......
2. I have several properties, which I will sell off over the next five years, not homesteaded properties.
3. Condense my holdings down to two.
4. In something like 5 years sell my home I'm presently living in.
5. Already having bought a secound house in this neighborhood.
6. Which I will then move into it, homestead it for two years, then sell it, and fly out with my family in hand, to the Philippines.
7. Here in Texas you don't have to pay capital gains on selling of a Homestead, I guess all over America, don't know for sure.
8. This move into the second house will keep me in the same school district, so my children will be able to stay in the same schools, before we move out, of USA.

IMO, a place like that is way too vulnerable to typhoons, earthquakes and other jacked-up disasters.

it's not all a bed of orchids....

Political leaders in the Philippines would like to believe that kidnapping is about to become a thing
of the past. Recent police statements have focused on their “success” in neutralizing five of the
twenty-one known kidnap-for-ransom gangs operating in the country. Yet the facts suggest
otherwise showing that sadly the Philippines is still the kidnap capital of Asia. Indeed the BBC has
dubbed the Philippines as “the kidnapping capital of the world”.

3. Unless your in Mandano, there it's Muslims they want non Muslims.
4. Hong Kong would be nice but there's no way I could afford it, it's very expensive, more than NYC.

7. And I love doing that, who wouldn't?
8. One hundred years ago, this nation was raw and untouched, those days are long gone now.
9. I know its hard for some of the Philipinos, some still use an ox to plow the fields, but seeing them work like that, willing to walk behind an ox, is inspiring.
10. For some its a hard life still, but they love it.
11. I want to get in there and help, you know, offer to walk behind the ox, some time.

The latino cowards from south of our borders are fleeing to the US instead of standing their ground and fighting to reform their own nations and building a future for their families in their homelands.

As Americans, we are better than that...Those of us who recognize the problem must not cut and run, but stand and fight to rescue America from the progressive marxist and their corrupt politicians.

No matter where you run they will follow because it is not just America they want, but the whole world...We must set an example for our children to be proud of and a hero for them to emulate...Fight.

7. I can not stop it, and neither can anyone on this site.

9. It doesn't make me the bad guy, this Nations so screwed up.
10. And I didn't *F* it up, the people who make the laws are doing it all by themselves.
11. Yet each year we as a Nation, keep sending them back up there.

13. *The supreme court is a bag of crap.* its ruining everything that used to be good in this country.

I keep considering Ireland. I can get citizenship since my Grandmother was born in Dublin, plus I'll have my degree in Education soon, which gives me another leg up. I've been to Ireland before, so I do actually know what I'm getting into over there. Great part about a teaching degree: there's always a place to find work, whatever the economy might be like.

I always take issue with statements like this. What's this "we" business? You got a mouse in your pocket. I did nothing to myself. I did not vote for the dark lord or any of his minions. I have never supported his take over of industries or his attempt to take over the medical field. You on the other hand have supported his grabs for power, because of your hatred for the insurance companies. So drop the "we" shit. I'm sure you will love the Philippines where you will have no vote and no rights. If you think your escaping corrupt politicians, better take another look. The country has been in turmoil since WW2. Simple things you take for granted here won't be available there. Look into their top notch medical care while your at it.

The problem with fixing things is that it will take more than well wishing. I hate to point this out, but so far, I've not heard of anyone on this site, however vehement their belief, going to a rally, or organizing in their area. I attend Libertarian Party meetings, but there needs to be more done, a lot more.

We've said everything we can really say, we have to either put up or shut up. That's what makes the Tea Party a bit different, is that they are actually doing something about the problem they see. This is also why they scare the shit out of people.

It's like my best friend, CJ. He's one of those guys who just says, "Well, I'm gonna go do [that]", and whatever that may be, he is going to do it. He doesn't have long talks about it, or heavy planning, he just says he's going to, and starts in on it. If you want to join in, then you have to catch up to him. Scared the hell out of everyone around him, because you just knew that once he had it in his head, there was no way of talking him down off it. also one of his more endearing qualities, actually.
