I wasn't aware that they no longer recorded 'hate rap' in the 21st century.

Of the people on that list, I've only regularly heard of Ice-T, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre, and occasionally of Apache (he wasn't one) and Ol' Dirty Bastard. Ice-T is married to a white woman with a ghetto booty, Ice Cube's become all family-friendly and is making PG rated films (though he cares about social and political issues, so I see why he'd scare you) and Dr. Dre um...signed Eminem? Apache died last month of an illness.

You know whats funny my kids don't listen to any of the music I posted...I'm the one that listens to that......my boys both listen to the music that drove my dad crazy when I was a teen :coffee: AC/DC, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Metallica, most of the 80's and 90's rock bands.

Although my soon to be 14 year old has recently discovered some music he calls screamo which sounds to me like some guy trying really hard to make himself hoarse..........

it's not music and I don't allow my kids to listen to it, at least in my house, and they certainly aren't able to buy that crap. Most kids do have access to this so-called 'music'...It is bootlegged at home and distributed on the streets and in the schools.

And besides, how many parents do you think actually listen to the words and messeges in the lyrics their kids are listening to?

Even when they're not in the privacy of their headphones?

We now have socalled religious conservatives saying this is A-OK....Folks, is it any wonder America's new generations have began their lives with such a moral disadvantage?

The people our children are suppose to look up to now care more for political correctness than the next generation's future...I expect this of minorities but not for intelligent civilized people.

I'm sure my kids have access to rap, and listen to it on the bus or with their friends. There isn't much I can do about that.

I have listened to the words and it isn't allowed in my house.

It was a series based on mob life. It was acceptable to the mainstream elite because it depicted Italian criminality, and as Italians have been accepted into the circle of whiteness despite their historical exclusion, every middle-aged soccer mom has seen Godfather while she bans 50 Cent.

U-N-I-T-Y (That's a unity)(come on here we go)
U-N-I-T-Y (you gotta let em know)
Another black woman from infinity to infinity
(you ain't a bitch or a hoe)

Instinct leads me to another flow
Everytime I hear a brother call a girl a bitch or a ho
Trying to make a sister feel low
You know all of that gots to go
Now everybody knows there's exceptions to this rule
Now don't be getting mad, when we playing, it's cool
But don't you be calling out my name
I bring wrath to those who disrespect me like a dame
That's why I'm talking, one day I was walking down the block
I had my cutoff shorts on right cause it was crazy hot
I walked past these dudes when they passed me
One of 'em felt my booty, he was nasty
I turned around red, somebody was catching the wrath
Then the little one said (Yeah me bitch) and laughed
Since he was with his boys he tried to break fly
(Huh) I punched him dead in his eye and said
"Who you calling a bitch?"

Yeah I don't know who the religious conservative is that likes rap, but here's some really old school rap you might enjoy, a different kind of rap  I could find you christian rap if your interested...

It is truly a shame that an extremely talented young woman like Alicia Keys gets mixed up with no talent clowns like that hack dimwit "JayZ". She has obviously spent a great amount of her young life learning, practicing and perfecting her ability to play piano, sing with a uniquely beautiful voice and write very professional songs. It would appear that black rappers hate real music and feel a need to destroy anyone that tries to better themselves. This song is a great example, Jay Z adds nothing, he detracts from the song. Listen to her doing it live by herself on you tube........ a million times better.

How are those home values working for you over in the future state of Mexicong. I remember when I lived in Southern Cal back in the late sixties, it was going down hill back then, 100,000 dollar outhouses, wow, what a life. At least you have plenty of fresh water..... wait, no you don't. Well at least the ground is stable......err no it's not. Between earthquakes and mudslides it will be joining the Pacific sooner than later. Vegas can't wait to be beachfront property.

Old school country is blue grass and I'd let my children listen to it everyday if they chose to. A lot of Teddy's songs aren't appropriate either, although, I'm pretty sure they're not about using women and shooting cops. Sex is one thing the glorification of violence is quite another.

Rap hasn't helped the black community in anyway that I can see accept to make drugs and violence a thing to aspire to.

I was surprised when I first discovered that the white girls and even young women seem to like the rasty nasty, down and dirty, sexual innuendos of rap music.

In the late 60's the old folks who thought free love and hippie chicks were shocking would freak out today watching a white girl grinding on a negro while dancing.

I've been to a few biker parties with some wild ass biker babes where pretty much anything goes but rap seems to have introduced trashy to main stream America.

People have pointed out the disgusting lyrics in rap music. Since you're so enlightened and liberal answer me this.

When your daughter gets older are you going to let her listen to it??? Or, are you going to discourage it because of the sexual lyrics and glorification of violence??
