Men out of work tend to be abusive. Right. Generalize much? Prejudice against men.

Reid: 'Men, when they're out of work, tend to become abusive'
By Michael O'Brien - 02/22/10 06:52 PM ET
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Monday that domestic violence by men has increased due to U.S. joblessness.

Reid, speaking in the midst of a Senate debate over whether to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation, appeared to argue that joblessness would lead to more domestic violence.

"I met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand," Reid said on the Senate floor. "Why? Men don't have jobs."

Reid said that the effects of joblessness on domestic violence were especially pronounced among men, because, Reid said, women tend to be less abusive.

"Women don't have jobs either, but women aren’t abusive, most of the time," he said. ed. actually women are not losing jobs at the rate men are. (http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheat-sheet/item/the-male-recession/who-knew/)

"Men, when they're out of work, tend to become abusive," the majority leader added. "Our domestic crisis shelters in Nevada are jammed.” ...

Libs always use to say, if you were opposed to higher government spending - you did not care about children

Now if you oppose yet another jobs bill - you do not care about women being abused by their unemployed husband/boyfriend

It is clear the left is on the ropes, and are grasping at straws

Great point

Mrs Reid is not use to Harry being around the house, and will have to make some adjustments

She will have to have anti-depressents in the bathroom cabinet - for both of them

If a man is abusive they don't need to loose a job to justify their actions, not making the eggs correctly is enough to do that.

Maybe it's a threat to get reelected. You know, elect me again or she gets abused.
