Last week was particularly good for me. After three and half years of working in customer service and taking inbound calls, I applied - and got - a position in the Written Correspondence department
I had my interview with two supervisors and I felt I did well. In fact I was talking to my supervisor about how the interview went, when another sup called her to ask about me. She sent me out of her office as she took the call - but I thought it was a good sign
The next day my sups supervisor talked to me about the position
Then on Firday I got an email asking me to call HR. Sure enough, I was offered the job, and I got a nice pay raise as well
This weekend I went to the Pocono's and spent some quality time with my girlfriend and went out for a nice dinner together
Three more weeks on the phones and then go to working days in the new department

You are just a little off Glock. I work in Maryland. The daily commute cost would kill my budget if I had to go to India :laugh2:

Thanks Abbey. My sup told me last night she will miss both my humor, and my production numbers. It is always good when your boss lets you know he/she is pleased with your work

Thanks Katianne. While the economy is not in good shape, interest rates are still low - and there are good deals out there IF you have the credit score and the income
Banks are lending, despite what the Dems are saying about lending practices

Yes it is. I spent 3 1/2 years on the phones, using my resources to find answers to customers questions, exceeding company set goals - and FINALLY - I hit my goal and get a job that gets me off the phones
14 work days to go and then I have new things to learn and new goals to meet and exceed
