Quite frankly and simply, Mr. Obama is a worldwide embarrassment. The world knows we are not there to occupy, but to assist. Self loathing is a very bad quality in a president.

The many nations helping Haiti recover from the devastating earthquake that struck there have set up their own military compounds and fly their flags at the entrances.

France's tricolor, Britain's Union Jack and even Croatia's coat of arms flap in the breeze.

But the country whose contributions dwarf the rest of the world's — the United States — has no flag at its main installation near the Port-au-Prince airport.

The lack of the Stars and Stripes does not sit well with some veterans and servicemembers who say the U.S. government should be proud to fly the flag in Haiti, given the amount of money and manpower the U.S. is donating to help the country recover from the Jan. 12 quake.
The Obama administration says flying the flag could give Haiti the wrong idea.

"We are not here as an occupation force, but as an international partner committed to supporting the government of Haiti on the road to recovery," the U.S. government's Haiti Joint Information Center said in response to a query about the flag.

You didn't read the article did you? The other nations in Haiti are flying their colors over their compunds and doing so proudly. Obama won't allow that to happen because he is a self loathing piece of trash. The FACT that our armed forces media is reporting this points to the deleterious effect such actions has on our men.

The other nations there have their flags flying over their contingent and America should as well.

This is just plain stupid. Does anyone honestly believe that the Haitian people are unaware of US troops in their country (in significant numbers too!)? Does anyone honestly believe that the other nations whose units are flyiing their nation's flags can do so without fear because they are somehow immune from being considered an occupation force? Does anyone honestly believe that US troops providing aid and comfort (supported by LARGE sums of US money) are more subject to attack than other countries' troops?

There is no doubt in my mind that this instance is one more signal by Obama to the rest of the world the he personally is ashamed of his country, places the values of other nations above those of his own and that such political correctness will do more to damage the respect, reputation and esteem rendered by other nations to the United States. I did not care for Clinton as CinC but Obama is far more disgusting by a long shot.
