Given the liberal talking points and how the liberal media paints anyone who disagrees with Obama - here is how you can determine if you might be a racist

If you are a member of, or attend a Tea Party rally, you might be a racist

If you oppose Obama's policies, you might be a racist

If you think Bill Ayers is a domestic terrorist, you might be a racist.

If you were sickened by Rev Wrights comments, you might be a racist.

If you use Obama's full name, you might be a racist.

If you think that health insurance is not a right, you might be a racist.

If you oppose affirmative action, you might be a racist.

If you listen to Rush, Hannity, or Beck - or watch Fox News, you might be a racist.

you are a racist if you're white, a Republican, a man, or a Christian who actually practices his faith

Poor HT. You have only two cards? All-knowing male labeler or pity pot?

Funny thing, while both of us deplore what we see as wrong with the country, you Mr. HT react with fear and try to use your 'influence' by bullying. I too fear for our country, as do millions of others, we know we have and should be a better country than we are, which can only come through convictions, courage, principles and being strong. Those principles include not only the Constitution, but also the Declaration of Independence, the works that influenced those that wrote both, and the Bible.

What I'm 'lke' is basic, in some sense I still have faith in the system set up so long ago. The town hall meetings and Tea Parties, held day after day, month after month, by thousands tell me that at root many believe. What scares me to the core is the willful behavior of the leaders. I believe we will see change in the leadership, soon or there will be change. I don't think it will be led though by 'men' scared out of their minds by people that are different than themselves.

Because you are conflating politics with idiocy. Months ago I stated a viable reason why blacks voted in such numbers for Obama. Now that may have been racism, but then you need to account for why so many Roman Catholics voted for JFK or Al Smith. Religion is not a race. Rather it's a matter of voting for the wrong reason, but people do so all the time.

Do minorities overwhelmingly vote for Democrats? Yes. Why? Perhaps it's been a failure of Conservatives in selling their point-of-view? Concept.

Then there is the history of the 60's and 70's, marrying the black vote to the Democrats, when in fact the Republicans were the cause of getting those programs passed. Well the GOP didn't want credit for that for some reason.

Monolithic voting? I don't think so. Blacks voted for Republicans, when they could, until the Civil Rights legislation. Hispanics have voted conservative, until the Right decided to own illegal immigration as a problem. While I agree with the later, the Conservatives did little to explain they weren't against immigration, just illegal immigration. Certainly didn't help that both Bush and McCain were for leaving open borders, while their constituents were against it.

Do minorities overwhelmingly vote for Democrats? Yes. Why? [B]Perhaps it's been a failure of Conservatives in selling their point-of-view? Concept. "Perhaps"???...Your theory is absolutely wrong...It is definately not that the Republican Party does not affectively sell them their point of view!

Black voters are 100% aware of what the GOP stands for and what policies conservatism promotes, and that is the reason they don't support nor vote for Republicans.

At the same time they are 100% aware of what the Democrat Party does stand for and have been and still are loyal suppoters of their leftist ideology since the 1960's.

Black voters are overwhemingly the proponents of big government, socialist government programs, government wealth redistribution, and a cradle to grave nanny government.

Black voters for Obama only increased a couple percentage points above their normal democrat voting percentages, jumping from 94% to 96%, I believe.

Then there is the history of the 60's and 70's, marrying the black vote to the Democrats, when in fact the Republicans were the cause of getting those programs passed. Well the GOP didn't want credit for that for some reason. It didn't matter in the least that the Republicans were responsible for anything, including freeing black America from the bonds of slavery.

The Democrat Party's number one selling point was the fact that they were waving the trinketts and beads of "something for nothing" freebie government programs.

Your PC induced, racial loyalty is admirable, but it doesn't hold up to the cold hard facts of common sense and statistics.

Everything I see disputes your claim of republican latino voters...From what I have seen they have for the most part been prediminately democrat voters at about 75%.

I would suspect that will be much higher from now on with the democrats pushing amnesty for illegal aliens.

That would be a faulty assumption. Time and again RSR has posted things that make fun of PC, as have I. This was one of them. The OP was totally satire, not anything else. Others followed in the same vein.

There's a vast gulf between racism and being sick of PC. Mr. HT is one of the very few that have crossed it. I've never seen you on some sort of mission to have non-whites 'dealt with or addressed' in any way. Are you sick of affirmative action? I am. I believe RSR has posted the same, as I know Mr. P has and many others. Do you find problems with the Justice Department failing in reality to deal with ACORN and LaRaza? Me too. I was pissed when the Bush administration didn't and I'm really pissed at this one too. How about that decision to not prosecute the New Black Panthers and election intimidation? My head pops thinking of it. That's not prejudice, well on our parts anyways. It certainly appears to be on Mr. Holder's.

I could go on and on, but Mrs. KP, you can't play that victim card, no one other than yourself, implied in any way that you are racist. You've never gone in that direction.

I really wish we had some black, Hispanic, or other minorities posting here, that felt comfortable and able to address some aggressive internet posters. We don't. If they were guest reading what's been posted, I don't think they'd probably stop for long. I think that's too bad, I'd like more diversity on the board and in discussions.

If you don't want more Justices on the US Supreme Court like Stephen Breyer you, may be a racist.

While RSR once again points our the real effects of PC on demonizing anyone non-liberal; others fail to see that the real racists are those trying to use non-whites to intimidate the weak minded. To allow them to paint the opposition this way is wrong, I'm in total agreement with the sentiments of this tactic by the left.

I don't make the huge leap from this wrong practice to blaming those being used. Are there minorities that fit stereotypes? Of course, otherwise they wouldn't work. I'm all for standing up against the ploy. I'm not willing to become the people the left is trying to portray.

If I had my way, affirmative action, hate speech laws, any other PC rules would be gone. They are discriminatory. Many times I've written about how males, in particular white males, are discriminated against, most recently regarding education and this unemployment situation. None of these wrongs though justify racism.

Anyone other than HT, think the Holocaust was a good method of dealing with the Jews? Think the Japanese Internment camps were the best actions in the long run? (Caveat here, at the time I'm certain I would have thought so, I admit that. Looking back? No. Hindsight is 20/20.)

Our country, because of size and the results of how population here was formed, is what it is. We are not just Anglo-Saxon descendants like most of Western Europe. Race has always been an issue here, doubt that will ever change. How we address the issues that arise, whether it is like an HT or LaRaza or LaRaza or Al Sharpton; or whether most folks keep their cool and be aware that there ARE blacks that do vote conservative. There are Hispanics, (in larger numbers than many whites in most areas of the country), against bilingualism in schools and open borders, that we win on good ideas not fear and hatred.

Representatives of developing nations who participated in the United Nations world population conference at Cairo were incessantly urged to extend "birth-spacing" services and "family planning" education to all couples of reproductive age. Such activities are fundamental to the orderly development of the Southern hemisphere, conference organizers repeatedly insisted.

But birth control programs and population policies have little relationship to health and development and a great deal to do with global power politics, says a book published by the Washington-based Information Project For Africa. Inc.

The book, Excessive Force: Power. Politics and Population Control." documents the involvement of "secret" branches of the U.S. government in elevating population control to a top priority for the west. And it suggests that, despite agreements from officials of developing nations to comply, population projects are likely to fail in many of the most important countries in the south.

Since the start of the 20th Century, the book explains, birthrates in the industrialized world have fallen to levels that are the lowest anywhere in all history. At the same time. fertility has stayed high in much of the developing world. This. it says. means that "the constituency of the world is likely to change in ways that are difficult to imagine."

In this context, the text asks: "What happens when there are dramatic shifts in the world's ethnic and racial makeup? How will these trends alter the balance of power between North and South? What effect will population change have on the global distribution of wealth, resources, and technology? Who will rule the world our children inherit?"

Amazing how that "opinion" shines though to discredit any opposing opinion with the pc tag. :slap:When people's only response to my topics and opinions is accusations of racism with no facts to dispute my own, then my "pc tag" is 100% accurate and justified.

Ht and Kathianne, since you two seem to be agruing over whomever you think is right or wrong, black or white or whatever, why don't you take your fight to the steel cage and duke it out with each other over there? Isn't that what the cage is for?

It is the typical method of debate for those whose beliefs are based on political correctness and have absolutely no rational arguments for their positions.

I'm terribly sorry Kat...I like you very much, but the truth stings like a bee sometimes.

Actually no. Take a look at the title of the board. Steel cage is for bad behavior, neither HT nor myself are name calling, being disrespectful. While Mr. HT has just declared himself the 'winner,' one will notice he did it without rancor or disagreement.

OTOH you will note that this very conversation actually proves the point that neither of us is PC. Obviously HT goes out of his way to say outrageous things, he calls 'facts' about minorities and even the current majority. I've no problem, obviously calling out what I perceive as racism and label my opinion, opinion. ;)

Looking back over this thread and others you will find that it really isn't all that pc to call a racist by that name, while actually giving some substance to one's opinion. The pc leftists do just what RSR's point was at the beginning, labeling any actions they disagree with racist, de facto making all Conservatives and most independents at the present time, just that by their parameters.

Oh I agree. Orthodox practitioners of most religions have higher than is currently normal birth rates. The Reformation, coupled with Enlightenment really led to severe drop of rate in Christians and all by Orthodox Jews. It changed not only religious practices, (mostly good thing), but also cultural outlook, (more mixed)-science is source of first address of most problems, including pregnancy prevention. If science fails, most turn to religion. I don't know that most think that's 'bad,' but some do.

I would mostly be a member of the above type of belief system. There are certainly times I wish I was more religious, times I wish I could step back. That's a personal dilemma though, here I'm really speaking more to the issue of putting personal desires way above civic good or rather letting others define civic good for all. Look at all the McMasions at over $1m pricetags, 5 or 6 bdr; perhaps a bath or 1/2 less. How many kids? 1 or 2? The most successful people are having the fewest kids in the industrial world. White, Christian Europeans are below replacement numbers. US is just above.

Everyone has a bit of racism in them whether or not they choose to believe it. But the topic has been sooooo over done that it has long since become boring.... As far as racism goes, it's been around, in this country, since its orgins. No matter how hard one tries it isn't going to go away. Racism is a cancer that keeps coming back.....There are always those that perceive themselves to be better than the next person, just because of ones color. It's ridiculous of course, but that's the way it is......

Unfortunately, racism will be around long after any of us are gone.....

We all know how you feel Hog, so what's the point of dreging up that old wound again? You aren't going to change any minds to your way of thinking. Racism has been an open sore for us since we arrived in the Americas. It will never go away.

Unfortunately, racism will be around long after any of us are gone.....I agree Binky..."Racism" is way overated as being a serious problem and in fact, many things are misdiagnosed as racism.

Whether we admit it or not, we all make judgements on "differences" whether they be racial, physical deformaties or whatever.

Some short people are uncomfortable around tall people...Others are uncomfortable around ugly people or the handicapped.

Being wary or suspicious of people who are different is a natural human instinct, as long as it doesn't lead to hatred or violence.

Unfortunately, we have been conditioned to feel guilty about this by political correctness, especially those of us who are white.

Does The War Of The Roses come to mind?...How about The Smiths?...Ah yes, The Tamming Of The Shrew...Petruchio and Katherine?...Yep, I definately like that one best.
