The wireless probe transmits all the relevant info to the receiver unit, which displays temperature and timer data on its back lit LCD. When your foodstuffs reach your preferred state of consumability, a voice alert pipes up to let you know. Is that it? That’s it.

Have that.. You can be grilling in the back yard, doing something in the front yard, and take the thing with you. :)

That would be great for monitoring a smoker without running back and forth 100 times to check it. I wouldn't use it for steaks though. Can't beat $20 bucks!

I haven't used it yet.. Bought it, and it's still in a drawer.. But it looked neat, and it's a kitchen gadget, so...

I'd love to hear how it goes when you do use it. I don't think I'd use it on steaks they're not out that long, plus I don't puncher them with anything.

Personally, I probably wouldn't use it for anything on a grill - you're right; nothing is on long enough.

Turkey fryer, yeah.. Oven, yeah..
