Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Hmm you'd have to ask big government types why they are so sure immigrants would be easy prey? Could be illegals track record shows them such.

I personally would love to believe if illegals came here legally playing by the rules they would have an incentive to embrace conservatism.

Then Jose will be pissed off at Marko (new illegal) because he is now having to pay for everything and Marko is reaping the benefits of being an illegal working in America.

This is why the people who worked hard to get here legally are more vehement towards amnesty than American born citizens.

Amnesty does not solve the illegal immigration problem....in fact, it will cause a broader unemploymet base. Employers will lay off Joe, put Jose in Joe's job, and then hire another illegal to put in Jose's job.

Then he would be screwed just like Joe Legal. Perhaps we should make them legal, only after charging them outrageous sums of money for back taxes for the years they spent in the country illegally and of course a small prison sentence for being a criminal in the first place!

True immigrants have no problem embracing conservatism, they understand it intimately. They struggled, followed the law and worked hard to come to this country. However, illegal immigrants have no need for conservatism. Why would the embrace an ideal that values hard work and individualism. Thanks to liberals in this country they have been given social services, food stamps, rent subsidies and medical care, why would they ever vote against someone who is giving them everything for nothing????

That is the problem with liberalism, while its many elite proponents bask in its humanity, it keeps a second class of citizens forever stuck and dependent upon the government.

Isn't it amazing, Southern Democrats who kept minorities as slave on plantations in the 18th and 19th centuries, are today Northern and Western Democrats who forever keep them dependent on the government not truly slaves, but not much better,
