Sorry bout that,
1. Does anyone else think Coca Cola should revert back to using sugar as a sweetner, instead of corn syurp?
2. Well in CWN's book, they should!
3. The way they make it now its crap!
4. How do you folks feel about this?

Pepsi put out some products called Throwback in different flavors, Pepsi Cola, Mountain Dew that had actual sugar in them. I'm not sure if they are still on the market.
Sugar cane sugar is to expensive to use for soft drinks. That is why all of the major soda manufactures have switched to using corn syrup. You might be able to find bottled coke in Mexican grocery stores that sell Mexican made Cocacola. That is made with sugar cane.

I buy my Coca-Cola at Costco. They have the stuff made in the U.S. and the stuff made in Mexico. I buy the Mexico version because they use real sugar.

I liked the Throwback versions PepsiCo put out.
I wish Coke would do the same.
I've always preferred Coke over Pepsi.

I think Sam's Club may carry it as well. They do here in Albuquerque.

Is corn syrup really more fattening and is there a difference in the flavor?

I actually did notice the difference when I went to Ireland a little over a year ago. It was actually tastier, in my opinion, and I didn't know till I was drinking it, because it tasted different than I was used actually. Actually, from what I've noticed, the US is the only one who doesn't use sugar (I include China in this).
I figure if coke can make enough to work for China, it shouldn't be too difficult to do it for the US.
Also, despite constant snacking while abroad, I still managed to lose weight while I was in Ireland

Chef Dan can probably answer that question? I've been wondering about that too, with all the advertisements from the corn syrup folks. ;)
