They spent Friday night making sure that the city’s cruising ban is enforced in a 37-block area in Louisville’s west end, along Broadway.
Cruising on Derby weekend has been a tradition for decades, but after multiple shootings and a murder five years ago, police have cracked down to try to prevent the violence they say sometimes accompanies cruising.
More than 300 officers were on special patrol Friday night
