Ever wondered why a man can look at an advert featuring a six-pack and laugh, while a woman might look at a photograph of female perfection and fall to pieces? William Leith thinks he might have uncovered the answer

The answer has been known for many a moon. It is because there is WAY too much emphasis on women and their appearance and body image.
Do know what the biggest industry in the U.S. is (behind porn, of course)? It's diet and weight loss. The cosmetic industry is way up there as well.
Look at all the women's magazines, models and celebrities? They are primarily slender. Girls are being taught that being overweight is the biggest sin of all.

The article is right on. Women need to learn to accept themselves for what they are.

I'm happy with my body, no image issues.

Cant relate to a lot of that article. Makes sense.

You know why there is such emphasis on womens' appearance? Because hot chicks are better in bed. :D
