This should bring a smile to liberals everywhere. This would be a great way to shut up those pesky people who actually do the job reporters do and report the who, what, where, when, and why of a story - and not bring their personal opinion into the story

According to the bill, reporters must provide the licensing board proof of:

--"Good moral character” and demonstrate they have industry “ethics standards acceptable to the board.”

--Possession of a degree in journalism or other degree substantially equivalent.

--Not less than 3 years experience as a reporter or any other relevant background information.

--Awards or recognition related to being a reporter.

--Three or more writing samples.

How can you have awards associated with being a reporter before you can be licensed to be a reporter?

How can you have awards associated with being a reporter before you can be licensed to be a reporter?

Or how do you get 3 years of experience as a reporter if you have be "approved" and licensed by the government before you can work as a reporter?

this one's a bit trickly.....you can't be a reporter unless you have at least three years experience as a reporter.....

I wonder if the likes of Chris Matthews, Rachal Mancow, and Sgt Ed Schultz would pass the "requirements" of this proposed bill?

This might be a way to put MSNBC out of business before it goes broke

Another unconstitutional bill from our morons in charge. I guess the concept of a "Free Press" doesn't quite break through those misfiring synapses in their unusually thick skulls.
